  1. Guys. If the OP had the money to buy a 1080 then he would buy a 1080. The notion that you need to choose a card solely based off performance per dollar figures is such a narrow, thoughtless idea that I don't even know why you bothered to contribute it. A GTX 1070 costs anywhere from $150 - $200 more than a 1060. A GTX 1080 costs twice as much as a 1060, and not to mention draws 50% more power. Didn't even bother to consider if the OP's computer could accommodate a 1080, let alone should it. Who cares about performance per dollar if you can't even afford it. That's like saying instead of buying the base model Ford Focus, buy the fully loaded Mustang. There are multiple reasons to consider a gpu including but not limited to: performance per dollar, performance per watt, cost, power draw, performance, size, amount of vram, cooling performance, etc. So I don't understand why this forum is generally always so quick to inject an opinion with no explanation and no consideration of use application.
  2. Hello all, I'm trying to 3D Model and then 3D print molds for some custom model rocket nozzles. I've used 3D modeling software in the past for many projects such as Cinema 4D and 3DSMaxx, however this is my first experience using AutoCAD. I made a 2d drawing and then revolved it 360 degrees, however this apparently is not considered an exportable solid to an stl file. I understand why what I am trying is not working as technically I only have a surface not necessarily a solid, however I do not understand how to convert this into one. Essentially it's just a cone similar object (keyword similar) that I designed a 2D path for and want to revolve 360 degrees to make a solid. I attached a couple pictures from CAD and linked the .dwg file. The top of the picture is my attempt at making the path into a 3d solid and the bottom of it is the 2 paths that I want to make into 3d solids. Thanks for the help, I know this is a very basic issue. 1.0in Nozzle.dwg
  3. So per usual pdf continues to be the worst file type ever made that can only be used if you throw your wallet at adobe. I'm trying to convert an import project of mine from pdf to word because the only program that can recognize it is adobe acrobat. However, since I don't have the premium version I can not convert to word from acrobat, nor does word recognize the file to be able to open it. If anyone by chance has adobe reader pro or something of the sort and would be willing to help me I'd greatly appreciate it if you would pm me. It's for my Eagle Scout service project and I'm trying to get it to the bsa for review asap! thanks.
  4. Let me give you a timeline of my experience with the best phone I have ever used... For awhile. When I first purchased my G4 about a year ago I was unbelievably pleased. The camera was great, it was fast, the battery lasted for nearly 2 days, and the screen was great (The only thing that has held up with this phone). For awhile I did not have a single issue with the phone. My experience was going great and I couldn't stop telling others about it. However, this "new phone high" only lasted a few months. Eventually issues began to arise for no clear reason. (The phone always had a case on it and I took care of it well never tampering with software or anything of that sort.) First, I noticed a massive drop in battery life. I used to be able to go to school (a massive concrete building that hates cell service), and have nearly 70% of my battery when I would come home, even with a decent amount of use during classes. However, it soon became an issue that my phone would die within a few hours. Originally I thought I torched the battery somehow, however this was not the case. After reviewing performance through multiple analytics apps, the bloatware was simply raping my phone battery incessantly. At first I tried force stopping unnecessary processes, but this only helped a little bit since the processes would just reopen themselves anyways. Then on top of that the wall charger died within 4 months and I was stuck without quick charge. Which, while not entirely detrimental, anyone who has had to revert from quick charge to standard knows how incredibly annoying and slow it can be to charge a 3ah battery on a .8a regular charger. Overall, I was becoming very fed up with all the issues the phone had been having even though it wasn't even a year old. Especially towards the lack of software updates and support from AT&T and LG on these issues. However, on Tuesday I finally got my wish for an update. I got prompted with a message to install marshmallow and thought well great sure I want to. I probably should have done a bit of research first... Most certainly a lesson for the future. For the first 36 hours everything was going pretty smooth. I appreciated the slight changes in design and I believe I noticed some performance benefits as well. Then last night I got a notification for a text message and so I went to flip open the cover (I have the quickcircle case). Guess what happened when I opened up my cover. Please go for it guess. My phone was a brick. For no reason whatsoever it went from working to being bricked while in idle. Restarting the phone would get me to a reboot loop, but I couldn't even get that to happen without taking out and replacing the battery first. Without a doubt I was PISSED that I was recommended with a message from AT&T to download an update that would kill my phone. On top of the fact that their online support team is atrocious. To make this even better I brought my phone into the store this evening and (I do not blame the store reps for the issues I had with AT&T while I was there) after sitting with a rep on hold with corporate for 45 minutes the woman who finally answers slurs every sentence. She then went on to try and research pointless "troubleshooting" that she clearly was reading from the website that she had no experience with. Mostly throwing a hissy fit that the store doesn't keep extra batteries even though we told her multiple times the phone shoes that it can not only charge, but is at 70% battery. (Now let me preface the rest of my rant by saying I'm still covered by the fucking warranty). Her solution to my brick of a phone that gets stuck into an infinite loop every time it turns on and crashes when you try to factory reset is to (try to hold back your laughter hear) send me a new battery. What. An. Imbecile. On top of that she told me I have to not only pay for shipping, wait a week for it to arrive, and then go to the post office to purchase return shipping if it still isn't working. Apparently when you buy a phone from AT&T and their negligence breaks it, you're just shit out of luck for a few weeks until their incompetent support team decides to send you someone else's phone that was refurbished. I officially now can not contact any of my friends, I have now lost out on any potential clients through my home business, and I have no way of getting help if something happens to me while I'm away from home. It honestly blows my mind that this is considered not only legal, but acceptable business practice. If AT&T's support is this bad... I do not even want to know what it's like to be a customer of Sprint or T-Mobile. I don't think I had this many issues with my old I-Phone 5 for christ's sake. In conclusion LG sucks, AT&T sucks, the entire phone market sucks, and I still hate everyone.
  5. It seems that the wireless card in my Asus Q302 is quite terrible to be honest. I can not watch a stream on twitch without buffering, and this does not occur on my phone, chromecast, tablet, or even old gateway ne65r13u laptop from 2010. It is not browser specific since it happen on both Chrome and Opera. When comparing speedtest results from the same server I notice similar pings between my laptop and other devices, however my laptop is getting only 60% of the speeds that my other devices get. Is this simply because Asus cheaped out and I should purchase an after market one, or should I maybe seek warranty?
  6. So I just started playing Osu for the first time and gosh do I love it. I only have a couple hours in so far, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I'm maybe "ahead of the pack" as a beginner or if everyone starts out like this. Thanks!
  7. So on my Asus q302 ultrabook it has an i3 4030 and 6gb ddr3 1600. In the bios the default allocation of ram to graphics was 64mb and the max was 512mb. Anybody know of a way to get around that max and allocate more without a custom bios. It's probably not possible but I thought I'd ask anyways.
  8. If you want to burn a hole in your computer from the heat output I guess you can get a 9590
  9. Given that it's a 13" consumer laptop I will assume not, but does anyone know if the Asus Q302 Ultrabook come with an m.2 expansion slot? I couldn't find any info on the product page, and I would really like to put an ssd in it.
  10. I'm gonna look like some rich kid wannabe... But I love new Porsches because of their combination of a somewhat small design, speed, handling, and most importantly god do I love that logo. 911 GT3 is my dream car (although that'll probably change to whatever the most recent model becomes by the time I can even afford one).
  11. Gunnars... Lol the gimmicks are real. Here's how you reduce eye strain. TAKE A SHORT BREAK AFTER EVERY COUPLE OF GAMES

  13. You don't have to pay to play in League. You can but it's entirely unnecessary and you won't have an advantage for doing it
