Thank you for the time you spent typing that down. It was detalized and with a little bit of humour. In all seriousness it all comes down to to the price. Like everyone else i too want to have prices as low as possoble. At the moment price difference between 7700k and 8700k is around 60 gbp.
My housemate has 7700k bought last christmas for 270 gbp. So i hope something simmilar will happen this year.
If i can bring that price difference low enough i might try my luck for 8700k, but if not then 7700k will have to suffice. You know at christmas you always spend way too much money on thing you might not need. And in next year you go complaining that you ran out of money
Thanks for the advice. I'll se what i can get around christmas time
Wow, that CPU is hella fast. But at the same time it's hitting end of my budget. Knowing that i probalby would need to spend around 150 GBP on motherboard. So it's kinda out of reach. And buying 8086k wound mean that i need to upgrade to 1080 or something simmilar.
Hello everyone, i hope i won't be bothering anyone.
I'm in need for some more experienced PC builder advice, so i'm turning to LTT Forum community.
After upgrading my monitor to 144hz i found a possible bottleneck whitch could be my CPU. After some thought i have 3 CPU's in mind. I will be mostly gaming on my PC and from time to time editing some videos.
Cpu's i have in my:
1. Intel i7-7700k, no need for new motherboard
2. Intel i7-8700k- would need a new motherboard
3. Ryzen 7 2700x- would need a new motherboard.
As Black friday and Christmas time is coming closer prices for some computer parts gonna drop, so i hope to find some good deals along the way.
My system specs:
Intel i5-7400
Asus Prime Z270-P
Corsair 12Gb DDR4 2400mhz (4gb+8gb)
Asus GTX 1070ti
Kingston 120gb SSD
Seagate BArracuda 2TB Hard drive
Corsair CP-9020078-UK Builder Series 750W Power supply
Asus VG248QE Display
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Hi. Everyone. So me and my friend are getting our PC upgrades today and we wanted to know if and how powerful power supply we should get.
I will be getting new Mother Board with i5 and 24 GB of Ram and he will be getting Strix GTX 1070.
I have 450w corsair power supply and he has 500w power suppply.
Any help will be appreciated. Cheers.
I got ASUS Z170-P, but now the thing is that my PC doesn't boot with my old RAM the HyperX one anymore, I have it in A1 slot, and it just turns on but doesn't boot.
So here`s the deal. I bought 8 GB stick of ram and wanted top expand my memory, but here`s the problem. I can't start my computer if both ram stick are put in my computer. After a while it stopped booting from either of sticks. I have tried to put in different slots and everything but i can`t figure out what's wrong.
Originally i have Hyper x fury DDR4 2133mhz, other one is hypertec 2133mhz.
