  1. What do I need to do to reset the Bios?
  2. Thanks for the response! The weird thing is, the card isn't dead, if I plug it in, the fan is running. Not sure what you mean by resetting the bios, mind if you help me?
  3. Hello everyone, I've been having this problem: My GTX 760, which I've had for a few months now, has stopped being recognized by the system, and I'm using the motherboard as an output. I've already tried to uninstall the drivers and install them again, but not even the NVIDIA software recognizes it, so I cant install new drivers. I've also already tested the other PCI-E slot, and the problem persists. All of this started when I connected a Razer Megalodon into the system, but I'm not sure how it would affect the GPU. I would really appreciate all the help I can get, thank you so much SPECS: -Intel i5 4460 -GTX 760 EVGA -Asus B85m-E Mobo -8 Gb Corsair Vengeance -HD/SSD
  4. I recently transferred data to a SSD from my HDD, and deleted undesired files from the SSD. During this process, I might have messed something up. Applications wont work with internet, except IE, shortcuts wont work, and I have no idea what to do. Can I format my PC to just have the OS on the SSD and redownload everything again? Please help, I don't know what to do
  5. Thanks man, Ill let you know how it goes
  6. Do you have any suggestions for a cloning software??
  7. Hello everybody. I just bought a 120 Gb Samsung 850 EVO, and I was planning on using it as my boot drive. Unfortunately, Im struggling to get Windows transferred to it. I tried creating a bootable USB drive, but the product key is not accepted, since its already being used in the HDD that I use. Im not sure how I can get Windows into my SSD. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks
  8. Ok guys, thank you so much for the responses! You guys confirmed what already seemed true. As soon as the opportunity comes up, I will be getting a SSD(prob. a 120Gb). Any sugestions as to what brand I should get? I was thinking maybe Intel or Samsung or Hyper X
  9. Hey guys, I have a question regarding SSD's mainly. I was thinking about getting an SSD as a boot drive for my OS(Windows 8.1) and for some key programs. I would like to know if it is worth it, and if so, what capacity would be optimal for this type of usage. Also, two other questions are, mainly, besides the OS, what should I install in the SSD, and if there is a better alternative for an SSD(such as SSD cacheing, although I don't think my mobo supports Intel SRT) Thank you in advance.

    HDMI trouble

Thanks man. It wasn't anything to do with defective components, and I still don't know what was causing the problem. It is now fixed. Again, thankyou for the help!

    HDMI trouble

Good evening! I'm not sure if I should post this topic on this thread or in the graphics card thread, but anyways. I'm having trouble connecting my EVGA SC GTX 760 to my monitor (Samsung S23C550) via HDMI. Whenever I try to do it, the monitor doesn't detect it, and the cable is fine, since PS3 works fine with it, even when plugged into the same monitor as the PC. Graphics card also seems to be fine, had for avout a week and had no other problems with it aside from this one. Right now I'm using a VGA plugged into a DVI adapter(I know, disgusting) but that's all I can do right now. Any solutions come to mind? Thank you for any help!

    Fan Placement

Thanks guys, I think Ill do some experimenting, trying all the scenarios and monitoring my temps to see which one will perform the best. Btw, how hot can my HD get before its unsafe?? And is it affected by gaming? Thank for the patience guys, new PC enthusiast here, just built my first PC yesterday

    Fan Placement

I was wondering what would be the best fan placement in my case(pun intended). I have two options: -1x120mm fan front intake fan and 1x120mm rear exhaust fan -1x120mm fan side panel intake and the 120mm rear exhaust I have a Cooler Master HAF ATX 912 Plus, GTX 760 and I5 4460 with stock cooler and no overclocking whatsoever. Thank you in advance for the replies, Cheers!
  14. Hello, I have a question regarding the cooling in my case. I was wondering if 2x 120mm(one in front intake and one in rear exhaust) would be enough cooling for me to game safely without damaging my components. My CPU has the stock cooler in it and my motherboard supports only 2 chassis fan. I cannot find any 200mm in my country, so that is why I am asking if it will be enough. I also cannot find any fan splitters to fit another 120mm intake Computer Specs: Intel i5 4460 Asus B85M-E EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC 8Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM 1600Mhz 1Tb SATA III 7200Rpm Cx600M Cooler Master HAF ATX 912 Plus(came with no fans and I cannot send it back)
  15. Nevermid, I just turned on my computer today and now VGA is outputting in 1080p The computer gods have helped me Thank you though
