So the Tx90 series is out (or coming out?), and it's a fucking travesty.

  • No SD card reader.
  • No removable batteries.
  • The keyboard is integrated into the chassis.
  • No drainage ports.
  • No RJ45 jack on the T490s.
  • No discrete GPU on the T490s.

I feel like I'm going insane. Lenovo's just making everything an X series, they have no idea what their own product categories are for. The T series doesn't need to be thinner or lighter, it's the T series for god's sake!

No SD card reader! I just... How the hell?

 

... I don't often get so angry at things. I had hopes for this series. Not even high ones, just hopes... I guess the T series is pointless now.

    They are following Apples lead. Let's just remove stuffs consumers would want.

    I was hoping to upgrade from my T450s once they rolled out the 90 series, but it has nothing for me now. I now have no idea what laptop to look at. There are no safe havens.

    I was thinking of looking into it because of the ryzen + Vega combo, but now it does't seem as interesting...

    More specifically, a microSD card reader.

    On the T490s (and T495s), it's built into the SIM tray. Like a phone.

     

    But you know what they still have? Smart card readers.
