BlizzardDUCK's Achievements

  1. I do notice sometimes the files explorer takes a while to load Windows is on an SSD and then I have a Hard drive for my documents and other items.
  2. How can I test what else it would be? Where should I start?
  3. I have had an issue lately where if I right click, I can't see my right click options, often times webpages don't keep up with my inputs unless I hit print screen which I assume refreshes the page? Also some windows I see the boarder but everything else is see through. I've also today experienced BF3 (2x in 10 minutes) and CSGO (once after 50 minutes) freezing which lead me to have to restart my PC. The third time it crashed, it started and stopped, started and stopped about 10 times before it finally fired up. I've noticed in the past few weeks that sometimes my windows files on my PC, the folders take forever to load up. I often can't preview anything, and my inputs never show unless I have hit print screen like above. I've linked a video of me right clicking, the scroll lag didn't happen. https://streamable.com/okjv7 Everything else appears fine.
  4. Rig name: My desktop Cpu: Intel Core i5-4690k @ 3.50 GHz Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Ram: 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Score: 6.6
  5. I alway buy from Amazon, never from ebay. On prime day I ended up spending $150 on ebay for a Samsung 850 EVO 500gb ssd because I saw posted somewhere that the Crucial Mx100's were going on sale at 12pm PST (3pm my time). Little did I know that it was at the lowest price it was going to be, $159.99 and missed the deal because it actually ended at 3pm.
  6. If you are unaware of what MassDrop is, MassDrop is a place where they contact vendors to see if they can buy in bulk to lower the overall price of a single unit. If the product does not meet the required number of units committed, they do not sell. If it does, you get it for what they advertise, but if more people join it has a chance to go lower in price. Normally see mechanical keyboards and headphones, this being one of the first times I've seen a gaming headset and mouse and I thought I'd share it. I have purchased a pair of headphones from Massdrop, it does take a little while to recieve the items (about a month). But you can't beat the prices, thats for sure. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/corsair-gaming-h2100-headset-vengeance-m65-mouse?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Community%20-%20Audiophile%20-%20MAU%20%28Inactive%29&utm_campaign=Audiophile%20IA%20Product%20Announcement%202015-07-14&mode=guest_open&referer=PAJHTC
  7. So I do only have 1 USB 3.0 Header And doesn't look like I will be able to use it because this one is in there, its for my two front USB 3.0 ports. Is there such a thing as a splitter for this, or am I going to have to go with USB 2.0 for fronts? I'm using it for racing wheel and pedals, is USB 3.0 necessary for those? The white ring with flat cable is the USB 3.0 Also, I was searching for USB 2.0 hubs and found this, do these work well? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QN3RTVQ?psc=1
  8. So 5 months later still working out what I want out of it. I've decided I would like access to more USB ports on the front (USB 3.0 if possible) where bay drives can be installed. I was told my motherboard doesn't have a USB 3.0 header so am I SOL for getting more USB ports on the front? I'd rather not do a external hub if possible, I had one on my laptop and just feel it creates even more clutter (one thing I disliked about having a laptop as my only PC). http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007L5K14W/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B008FJXGDQ&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1G31MPQG0PTV3Z6DYR23 Thats the one I'm looking at for a spot on the front of my PC. If I can't do that, I guess Ill have to bite the bullet and go this route http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WTHGL8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
  9. Need a computer that can run Sims and do some photo editing for somebody else. Not sure what to use for a CPU or a video card. Requirements: Budget $600 Found these, didn't know if built could be better. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-desktop-...id=1219279725784&skuId=7570007 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-aspire-t-desktop-...id=1219539711783&skuId=2372026 Right now, have $710 build, but this includes Windows 8 https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BlizzardDUCK/saved/gnqypg

  11. These are well worth the extra $30. The VModa's do have a detachable cable and do have a carrying case. You can get a mic for gaming for them, but I haven't purchased it, but it is reasonably priced at $30. They don't get uncomfortable, and actually sometimes I forget they are on ear headphones when I'm wearing them. The braided cable doesn't get tangled up at all, and fits in the case with the headphones. To me, I can't tell much difference between them and my ATH m50's. They are a great headphone if you are willing to go for under $100. I got them during the Amazon Holiday deals for just $80, but I don't think you'll see that deal for atleast another 8 months.
  12. I own ATH m50's (before the X's came out) and VModa M80s. Both I really enjoy but for use them differently. My M50's mainly stay at my desk now, they do fold and they do fit into the slappa case I got for them which works great. This past Holiday season I saw the Vmoda's for $80 and I had to try them. Those I now use for on the go. They are on ears, but I can't really tell a difference in quality between the M50's, aside from the M50's are over ear so it isolates outside noise a little more. The m50's get a little hot after about an hours use, but they aren't uncomfortable at all. The plug it quiet large, I had to get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm adapter to get it to plug into my ipod with the survivor case I have on it. The VModa's do have a detachable cable and do have a carrying case. The braided cable doesn't get tangled up at all, and fits in the case with the headphones. I'd recommend either pair of headphones, both have been great. I have used both for music, and they give you pretty true sound. Have used the M50's for gaming, they seem pretty good but I usually just go speakers for gaming. If you do get the m50's, even the M50X's, recommend this case. http://www.amazon.com/Slappa-SL-HP-01-Headphone-Case-Black/dp/B001U88XJQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1425525966&sr=8-2&keywords=slappa+case
  13. I own both of those combo's, one for home and one for college. The 320 is alright, I prefer the keyboard over the 520 because the keys stand up more like a desktop keyboard than a laptop keyboard. But the mouse is too small for my liking. I prefer the mouse of the 520 though because its larger, easier to "click", rubber sides, feels more consistent when moving across screen. Neither mouse works too well unless you have a mousepad, they both struggle with hard surfaces sometimes. Both battery lives on both keyboard and mouse last a long time for both combos. I'm actually looking to get a different keyboard/mouse to replace my 320 combo.
  14. All better, everything is up and running, firing on all cylinders. I've only tested 2 games, but so worth it. Can run them both maxed at 85+ frames and no random crashing.
