  1. Okay, so I ended up spending a bit more money and getting the following: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor $280.98 @ Newegg CPU Cooler Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $93.00 @ Amazon Motherboard Asus - ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING (WI-FI AC) Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $144.99 @ Amazon Storage Samsung - 860 Evo 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $87.99 @ Amazon Video Card Zotac - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Mini Video Card $704.88 @ OutletPC Case Corsair - Air 240 MicroATX Mid Tower Case $79.99 @ Walmart Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1391.83 Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-10-06 15:37 EDT-0400 Total price is DKK 12,979 which is around USD 2031 (we have 25 % sales tax i Denmark - yeah it sucks big time)
  2. Thanks for the replies. My biggest problem is that I've been out of the game and don't really know what lower tier components to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. The TV has a "gaming" mode that reduces input lag down to something like 30-40 ms - fine for casual games. But if I want to play FPS games I will hook up my normal display. I know it's a locked chip, but I was wondering if it really is worth the price to performance to upgrade to a 8600k? The AIO is to keep the fan noise down seeing that the PC will be inside of a somewhat locked box
  4. Small form factor build to be able to fit into my TV furniture. My plans are to be playing casual games on my 65" Samsung MU7005 4k TV. I don't have the space for a desk in my small apartment. Any recommendations or changes? 5. Hi! After being gone from gaming for some years I would like to build a new gaming rig. The catch is that the case needs to fit into a shelf in my TV furniture (dimensions: width 48,2 cm, height 32,2 cm, depth 37,8 cm). Cooling will probably be an issue but I plan to have a prefilled water cooling loop on the CPU and the front of the TV furniture is made out of a mesh so I hope that this can keep the temperatures down. Budget: USD 1500-2000 My plans are to be gaming casual games on my 65" Samsung MU7005 4k TV. I don't have the space for a desk in my small apartment. I am looking for a rig that can run the latest 4k casual titles on preferably high or ultra settings. With enough power to be able to run titles on a VR headset in the future. As I would be gaming from my couch, I would need some sort of setup where I can put my mouse and keyboard on so if anyone has a recommendation that would be great. Thanks!
  6. Bump - Really not anyone with an assumption? :-)
  7. I've been rocking my old AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE for a looong time now, and I was thinking about overclocking it a bit to get some more performance out of it. My main concerns are that either my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3) or my PSU will fry if I overclock my CPU due to the fact that it's not an enthusiast motherboard and it doesn't have the best chipset for its generation. Please see my other components it my signature :-) Can anyone help me out, maybe by sharing some OC experience?
  8. My dad needs a new phone for his work, he's currently running a samsung galaxy s2 bought about 6 months after it launched. He wants a similar phone but doesn't want to break the bank. The phone he is looking on currently looking on is a Samsung A5 costing around USD 370 converted from DKK to USD. He primarily uses his phone to check email, calender reminders, and the occasional solitaire game in the evening. Preferably he wants it to be a Samsung so that he can use it with the Smart TV, but any recomendations are apreciated.
  9. Just an update: I ended up with the Urbanite XL wireless and I really like them a lot, the only point of critique is that the ear pads are circular in comparison to my 363D's which I've come accustomed to being oval for the better fit around your ears. I really like these headphones and the sound are sublime, the touchpad on the right side used to pause, skip etc. songs are working fine without any hiccups at all. I will rate these headphones 8/10
  10. Thank you for the answers I've tried it in a store and the headband is surprisingly supportive. I Think that I'll go with these then :-)
  11. Hey guys, I'm wondering if I should buy the Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless or something else? I want it to be wireless due to the fact that I will be using them at my work. Therefore they will also need to be closed an preferably over-ear headphones so they let out as little sound as possible into the room I am in. Thanks in advance :-)
  12. Hey guys, I'm going to be buying the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 in a couple of days and I was wondering what option would be better in terms of speed? Buy the 16 GB costing 663 USD, and get a reasonably sized SD card? (64 GB costing around 54 USD, or 128 GB costing around 125 USD) Buy the 32 GB costing 748 USD, and get a smaller sized SD card? (32 GB costing around 27 USD, or 64 GB costing around 54 USD) Furthermore does anyone know the read/write speed of this tablet? I've been searching around, but I cannot find anything on this subject. In relation to the read/write question, I would also like to know if it's over kill to be buying a SD card with 45mbs read/write? EDIT: updated with pricing converted from DKK to USD
  13. You should buy go ahead and buy a sound card if you have the money for it, it's a way better experience :-)
  14. Thx for the answer, I will be upgrading soon, the fact that I'm working 50+ hours a week was the reasoning behind asking this question, as if it was worth my somewhat spare some time :-)
