  1. Had these thoughts before but you guys hammered the nail, making me force to accept the truth that it can shift a lot Thanks anyway!
  2. Hello! I'm going to sell my computer and I want to get the right value for it, could I get some tips on what I can expect? When I did a fast counting the parts was worth around 12 500 SEK, which is 1280 USD, 1700 CAD and 1180 Euro. Should I expect to sell it for that, more or less? Looking at a new complete computer purchased at a store with around the same performance but a rtx card (2070 super) it starts at 17 000 SEK and builds averaging around 20 000 SEK, which is 1750/2050 USD, 2300/2700 CAD and 1600/1900 Euro. Parts: Graphics: MSI Gaming X 1080 TI Processor: i7-7700K RAM: 32 GB(4x8) Think 2666MHz Motherboard: Strix Z270F Gaming Chassi: Phanteks Eclipse P400 Tempered glass CPU cooler: Coolermaster 212 evo PSU: 650W 80+ (gold or plat) that's modular Thanks for helping! Best regards, Mr. Swede
  3. When doing so I get 10 ms to 11 ms with a few spikes at 14 ms. Here is a picture of how bad connection I have to youtube. It's not the disk, same problem when installing to my SSD(samsung 850 evo 250 GB)
  4. Didn't really understand you there but with the speed from speedtest it is expected to get around 25-30 MB/s downloading speed.
  5. I could understand that if everything else was working fine but, I am not so sure Youtube have had problems the past week and only problems for my computer (not phone/TV).
  6. Hello! I am having some trouble and have been having this for a few days. I'm paying for 250/100 Mbit/s and using cable. My downloading speed is bad or not working, can't look youtube 1080p or download a game from steam with a constant downloading speed. My friend that I live with have great speeds but even when his internet cable is pulled out I get these bad results. Have checked for all the latest updates in Device manger > Network and it seems fine. I have no idea what the problem might be, appreciate any assistance!
  7. Ok so uninstalling GPU Tweak II did nothing but when I uninstalled AI suite 3 it now works. Although.... That AI suite program was quite nice to have, easy overclock easy fan monitoring. I now see that my CPU is clocked at 4.6 GHz, is that something to worry or is a temperature of ~75 degrees alright?
  8. Not really sure but I think Axial fans? It looks like this
  9. Hello! I have just now with my new build come to the conclusion that my graphics card is too loud to be acceptable. Below are pictures after I just start my computer. First picture, bottom left is fan speed for GPU . This is the exact model I am using: https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/GTX970DC2OC4GD5BLACK/ When I change in GPU Tweak the fan speed to User define and makes it so that it should run at 30% speed up until 70 Degrees(C) it still runs at 50-55%. I have tried to change settings but what ever I do I can not get below 1500 RPM. While gaming it runs 100% at 3000 RPM, I run open headphones and it's getting annoying to game. Could anyone explain to me what settings to do or what to fix physically fix with the Graphics card? Thanks for your assistance! EDIT: When I change mode on GPU Tweak II then it lowers the fan to 30% but then springs back to 50% by some reason. Maybe that can help.
  10. Would get most of my equipment from Massdrop if I only lived in USA or Canada, I have to pay shipping + 14$ + 25% of the price I bought the product for and all this to have a harder time with warranty. I am currently using the Philips Fidelio X2 as I'm writing this review, first time I listen to open headphones and it was a nice experience! I started to think on how it was different from closed headphones and closed headphones feel like the sound is inside your head. Comparing this to open it feels like the music is in the room, exactly how many other explain it, just hard to imagine the difference without testing it out. My biggest problem is the weight, 380g, with all the fancy metal it is heavy on the head. Will use them for a few more days before I can say if this is my cup of tea or not.
  11. I did take a glance at the HE400i/s before your post but since they both cost ~400$ it's quite above my budget and twice as high as my "happy" 200$ mark. Don't want all my fun-money going into one pair of headphones when I've never used real headphones When you say that the AKG are not comfortable at all, do you mean the earcups, headband or the weight of them on the top of your head? I can see that the HE400i are 60% heavier but maybe their solution on the headband are better, please comment on that. Not sure if most countries have this but in Sweden we have the possibility to buy and test the product at home for up to 14 days (written law) and most have 30 days. Since I don't want to be the douche that orders every pair that I can think of and then returning all but one, I've so far only ordered the Philips Fidelio X2 for 200$ and will order AKG712 if I can get the for 214$, they raised to 300$ today I will try out the Fidelio X2 tomorrow and will probably go with them (if they are as comfy as I've heard) if the AKG712 doesn't get down to 214$. Would like to try out the HD599/600 but no store within 2 hour drive and don't wish to purchase when I got so much doubt for them (now I'm sure they are excellent as music headphones but from several reviews I've seen that you could get basicly the same sound/comfy but for less $ if your focus is on gaming).
  12. The Logitech G430 are not my cup of tea, that was when I compared to other gaming headsets. Made this thread because I know too little of real headphones that are comfortable and sound good, compared to gaming headsets.
  13. The first impression of those headphones are great, they just look amazingly comfortable and I read some user reviews and they got 9/10 from 18 votes, everyone seem to love them. The predicament is that only one store in Sweden sells them and I doubt that they will lower the price(400$) enough for me to think of them above AKG 712. Wouldn't say no to those as a daily use at work though, but going with Sony MDR-1A for 135$, saving a few days salary If anyone want to comment on the main question of this thread and add your opinion the SONY MDR-1A, do so! Did I just highjack my own thread? no! You can comment on these if you comment on main thread!
  14. Did a quick look at the HD 439 and overlooking the low price, they seem pretty uncomfortable, had a headphone with that kind of padding on the headband before and started to hurt. To clarify, when I mean Gaming > Movies > Music I do not mean I want "Gaming headphones" in the product name, according to Z Reviews video the HD 598 have no base which is something I want for those explosions and stuff, basicly more emersion. That is what I mean when saying Gaming > Movies > Music.
  15. Hello! Alright so I have decided to keep my Philips Fidelio X2 using a modmic 5.0. The Fidelio X2 are really comfortable, the space in the earpads are huge! I do get some fatigue after using a few hours but that's unavoidable. Since I haven't listened to other good headphones I can't comment on the sound other than say that it's great. I recommend Philips Fidelio X2. Here's some links to websites/videos that helped me decide. Before you read below, all information and everything I know if from other people's opinions, I have never owned a real pair of headphones, plan to change that with your help! When I've decided I mark best answer as solved and write the headphones here. Backstory of why I upgrade. From what I've read, open back headphones sound better but that closed can have more base, don't quote me on that. Anyway, below are my priority list. Comfort for long sessions Sound Gaming>Movies>Music (never listened to a good pair of headphones, can't tell you want I like) Price as cheap as possible, max 300$ After reading through thread by thread, looking at video after video, I have narrowed the headphones down to those you see below (I will run modmic 5.0 with the headphones). Below are those that I first thought of buying but removed after some research on how they fair as gaming headphones(information taken from Z Reviews) and that I might need a DAC to really experience it. Please comment about open and closed headphones and what pair of headphones you think are the most comfy and sound best for gaming according to you. Sorry for having to ask so specific, I want the absolute best and will get annoyed if I don't, I don't want to feel this way but it's how I am. Thanks for the assistance in helping me choose Best Regards, Johan
  16. Review the Jaybird X3? Let Luke(yes Luke, not Linus <3) review another Cooking item, maybe another Sous Vide item? @LinusTech Buy creepy spy cameras, those button small once and let Linus be a creep, title: one small camera and you're suddenly a creep? - Linus Love you guys <3
  17. He looks at the "VIP experience" and think of what a old friend used to say, "Go big or go home". He Starts to look for flights Stockholm - Langley, what he finds is not what he wanted. There are no flights, no direct or with connections. He close down the ticket website and pretend like he thinks this whole event is stupid. Stupid this is
  18. I know that when Windows and there after games start optimizing for AMD the results might improve from the current state. Do people think that it will improve it so much that it it will be on par with Intel in value/performance? I'm not a expert, I only listen to experts and look at results. As far as I can tell people are happy that AMD can make a relevant CPU but that they can not recommend it above Intel when its for gaming.
  19. My only issue is that I want it to be compact but quiet while having similar specs as those that you picked. To keep in mind, I already have a GTX 970 which I will keep. Also, could anyone please explain why someone who uses 1 GPU and 1-4 drives would need a ATX motherboard before micro or mini??
  20. I have no problem with reusing my old stuff that still works, like my pure rock. When I say 600-1000 I'm having my mind on US dollars but to be honest both works, as long as it's clear which currency you use. I live in Sweden so will have to change currency anyway ^^
  21. Hello and thank you for taking your time helping me, now lets get to it! Starting off mentioning Ryzen 7. Ryzen 7 1800x performs in several games including Witcher 3, Battlefield 1 and Fallout 4 equal or worse than a i5-7600K which is less than half the price of the flagship Ryzen processor (benchmarks taken from Sweclockers). Having that in mind I'm having a hard time thinking Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 3 will have better single-core performance than ryzen 7 and therefor it is not worth the wait. So therefor I am thinking of good old lazy Intel. Why I'm upgrading Budget Computer has to be fully upgraded(yes, new case) except GPU and Drives, so something around 600-1000 USD // 800-1350 CAD would be my sweet spot, don't have a fit budget but I want value for my money. Usage Gaming while having stuff in the background, I like to multitask so I usually have one/two games + chrome + movie at the same time. Games I play are all in 1080p and range from Battlefield 1, witcher 3 to League of legends and to eastern MMORPG's like Black Desert Online. I basicly play everything. Current Specs Aim I want this new build to hopefully last me for 4+ years as my current one has, so I don't want to cheap out. A quiet Mini-/Micro-ATX build is what I'm aiming for, don't play in running SLI or more than 4 drives so can't really tell why I would need a full size ATX, please explain if you think I need one. Key features: 16GB or more RAM Silent and preferably not water cooling Smaller computer = better Below 1000$ Good to have features: Case having front side USB 3.0 along with headphone and microphone jack Clean look of the case Having 6 or more USB ports in the back Having one USB-C Having 4 slots of RAM if going for 32 GB (it's cheaper) Good integrated sound card (TBH maybe all are good, don't know) I think that was everything I can point out! Full build examples are very much appreciated!
  22. If you so happen to upgrade to kabylake and needs to buy windows 10, don't buy a license that costs closer to 100£. The website I myself bought from was from kinguin.net Not trying to put a add in this post, just informing that you will get the same thing but for a quarter of the price. Can't comment on the other things though
