Doing a 5 minute fix =/= building a PC lmao

Well this is what the block would generally look like, and if you try to wiggle it around it should either move very little or not at all. If it wiggles quite a bit then just look up an installation video and you should be able to infer what to do from there.

I have been gaming on 3x 1440 in portrait, so I know a thing or 2 about it.
And about keeping up, my 980Ti SLI could only handle that resolution on about medium to high settings, when aiming for 60 fps. But even then so did I dip down to mid 30 from time to time. Not to mention that very few games supported the resolution.
All of that combined makes me recommend gaming on 1 monitor only.

I go to pcpartpicker to check out other people's build.
X99 Z170 Z97, all that kind of stuff. Learn to differentiate them, and knows what is the best choice for me.
Also at this forum there is a section called: New builds and planning. That's where the veterans answers newbies questions when it comes to build a PC.
Go there and see what are people's need and what the vets' suggestions are.
You will learn a lot, believe me. At least I learned a lot from all those suggestions.

Also most importantly , don't be afraid if you are a newbie. This forum welcomes new member.
In the end we came here for help, and fun of course.
And the member we don't like (or at least I don't like) are those who knows a thing or two, then bashing other people opinions.
Those people are the real noob.
And we've all seen them in this tech forum as well as in real life....

I can tell you right now this game will never be considered pay to win. Let me put it this way to you (numbers picked randomly):
Player A spends 5 hours a week playing. He earns about 10,000 UEC a week.
Player B spends 20 hours a week playing. He earns about 30,000 UEC a week.
Player A has a little extra money, so he buys 30,000 UEC.
Player A now has 40,000 UEC.
Player A buys a brand new ship with advanced weaponry, because he wants to be better at the game.
Player B upgrades his ship, because he wants to be better at the game. His ship is already insured.
Player A does not really understand the value of insurance, so he does not buy it.
Player A and Player B encounter each other and hostilities erupt. Player B is by far the more experienced player, and easily decimates the 'better' ship by being the more capable pilot, despite having what some would consider to be a disadvantage.

I have seen Auroras rip Hornet pilots to shreds. I have seen the 300 series tear apart Vanguards. Experience will trump a wallet, every time.

Would probably be best to buy used if you're looking for something to mess around with without worrying too much about breaking anything.

I was a non-techie a year ago, but I've gotten better with computers ( somewhat ). I only read up to page 25 and really really made the attempt to follow the science discussion. Ok, so I have a gaming laptop with specs.
Motherboard: HM 87 ( not sure if that's right or not )
    CPU: i7-5700 HQ
    GPU: GTX 970M
    OS: Windows 10
    Ram: 16gb
    HDD: 1TB 7200RPM
    Lab: Killer E2200 Game Networking
I think I got something decent, but I also feel like I got ripped off because it says I can play Fallout 4 on low settings. I got it specifically to play Fallout while on the road. Semi-driver.
Also, don't mean to be off topic. I'll build a gaming desktop once I have my own place.

Who cares about Nvidia or AMD if what we see is slightly true, gentelmen we are looking at cards capable of driving games at 140+ fps at 4k ! With one card! Holy Sweet Honey Ice Tea !!!

You can overclock the FX 6300 quite ok, that's the 1st reason why I get an after market cooler for it (the other being AMD's stock fans always drive me crazy with the noise). At stock the 4440 would be a little little bit faster than this, but at this range it doesnt matter much, both of them wont bottleneck the 290 anyway. As for preference, I actually prefer Intel and Nvidia more, but at low budget, I'd say I can see the charm of AMD build :3
