I see. Well, I don't know if passing through the card will impose any limitations on that, but even if you can get 4K 60Hz HDMI through it, changing from DP to HDMI and then back to DP again is quite complicated.

Simple $5 DisplayPort to HDMI cables are limited to 4K 30Hz, and in addition will only work for going from DisplayPort to HDMI, not the reverse. The second run, from the capture card's HDMI to the monitor's DisplayPort, will not work at all with a simple adapter cable. If you want 4K 60Hz, you will need to use a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 signal converter between your graphics card and the capture card. After passing through the capture card, you would then need another converter, from HDMI 2.0 back to DisplayPort, between the capture card and the display. Signal converters are quite expensive and typically only work in one direction so these would need to be two different converters.

As suggested above, it would be a much better idea to use ShadowPlay for recording if you can.

    oh
then why cant you just record with software on the PC and capture 1080p 60fps?
it will look better than with the capture card, and if you use something like shadowplay or some other software with H.264 encoding there will be almost no performance impact

all the DP to HDMI 2.0 converters are hit and miss, most of the time they do not output 60Hz but only 30 even though they advertise 60

if you want crisp gameplay capture you should de native recording on the PC, not external or capture card

converting video to a digital signal and then back into video causes a lot of degradation
recording directly with software before the video is output to your display gives much higher quality footage

You should be able to, I wouldn't see why not as it has 16GB of RAM and you can buy 16GB more and have 32GB which is more than enough for a rendering station.

I..... also have a new theme song for this build, well it's not really a theme song it's just a song I've been enjoying throughout the summer!

I've always wanted to do something different from others, I'm not sure if people have done it inside of their computer but I've been hearing the word wrap a lot so I decided to wrap a few things inside of my computer. You might be asking, what's wrap? I'm talking about vinyl wrap, I went ahead and purchased flat black vinyl wrap to cover a few parts inside of my computer to make it look cleaner. I've wrapped the middle of the AF/SP Corsair fans so the fans look cleaner with just the rings. I've also went ahead and vinyl wrapped the graphics card to completely remove the "GeForce GTX" green logo from the graphics card. I've also vinyl wrapped the whole CD/DVD RW+ drive that's inside the computer so it all looks cleaner inside.

I've upgraded this computer a few times since I originally had it and now it's time for a refresh thread.
If you are going to tell me how ugly my power supply cables are, don't.
Have a good day, I hope all of you enjoy this Prestigious 750D thread as much as I do!

Okay so, I overclocked my laptop (ASUS G751) monitor from 60Hz to 90Hz (It won't go past that) and I love the changes.
I feel the difference in-game on CS:GO and I would love to overclock my monitor at home!

    I overclocked it by:
    1) Going into the NVIDIA Control Panel
    2) Clicking on "Customize"
    3) Clicking on "Create Custom Resolution..."
    4) Changing Refresh Rate (Hz) from 60 to 144Hz

    5) "Test successful. Custom resolution 3840 x 2160 at 144Hz has been applied"
I click on "Yes" and click "Ok" and it doesn't save.

    I'm running on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit.
The monitor I have is an Samsung U28D590 28" 4K monitor.
    Pls help, overclock needed!
PS. It shouldn't be an OS problem.
My laptop is on Windows 10 Professional and my laptop overclocked the monitor just fine!

I played with a few of the international versions when I had them at work. Though it was the slower model 2GB and 16GB storage. Performance wise it was really smooth. But the brightness was on the lower side compared to other phones.

One of the biggest concerns I had was actually with thermals. Did you find the phone runs warm after extended use or was it fine for you?

Almost a year ago, ASUS released the Zenfone series--the Zenfone 4, 5, and 6--across several countries in Asia, including where I'm from (Philippines). I think they wanted to see if their new Zenfone line would let them penetrate the smartphone market, that's why they only released in a few countries. Luckily for them, their "bang-for-the-buck-better-hardware" phones became popular to a lot of consumers, since they are with the lowest prices (if I'm not mistaken) with such specs. Their Zenfone 5 were (and up to this day) is still the best seller among the three. That is why they also released versions of the Z5 with updated batteries and other stuff.

I think this success led them to release a new flagship phone that they can market to compete among other flagship phones in the western parts of the world (i.e., Samsung, HTC, Nexus), hence the "highly upgraded Zenfone 5," the Zenfone 2. Just my opinion, though.

I think the way they market the Zenfone 2 in the US/Canada--low prices and you can buy them independent of data carrier--can really make an impact, even if some features are "meh."

    Sorry for the long post.
