I was sick of having issues with SLI so I just bought the single best GPU I could buy. Not mad just sucks that 980TI is $350 less

I personally prefer multi-disk setups, 1 for OS, 1 for programs, and 1 for storage.  But that is personal preference. 
 
As long as you got a secondary or external or cloud location to backup files important to you, I would say just get enough storage space to cover your needs plus room for growth.

EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys! Hopefully Linus or someone from LMG will read this and this will make Linus keep his build. Even if the goal of 100k is made we should convince Linus to do another build maybe, with signatures from the whole LMG family and maybe even his wife. This would let Linus keep the build he has with the special case his wife gave him. Besides, his personal PC would be more special to him than us.

Did Nvidia pull out all the stops on the Titan X, or does its performance leave something to be desired?
 

These kinds of cards are actually a nice addition for people like me that use their rig for work and for play. Large amounts of RAM and VRAM are nice for keeping especially high resolution and high poly workflows from bogging down, plus the fact that they can crush games in the off-time is awesome.

Yes, and we know what it is: his cpu is running at 800mhz and the guys can't seem to be able to figure why this is...next time read through the threads before posting.

I don't care who makes one I just want one that is relatively cheap reliable and will run with every game/ program I have. 

In the stunning conclusion to scrapyard wars episode 1, Linus beats Luke.. or Luke beats Linus.. I guess you'll just need to watch the bloody video.

Yes I just put this one together (though I reused the video card and PSU from my old one), and with my new monitor from the garage sale I'm feeling even better about it.

I agree that good chairs do not come cheap. But I would argue that if you are someone who spends most of their time sitting in front of a computer, you should seriously think about investing in a very good chair. I know it boggles most peoples minds when they see chairs that cost $600+, but that's only because many of us have been sitting on terrible chairs that cost $40-100 most of our lives and are not yet used to the idea that sitting in a proper chair built for good ergonomics and made of high quality should NOT be looked at as a Privilege but as a Right. If you were someone who walked around or even ran around all day for work, would use any old footwear that cost $25-50 or would you invest in footwear that costs $300 but it actually made a difference in the comfort of your feet?(Not saying this is fact for footwear, but I think you see my point [and it is fact for chairs]) 
 
I feel like many people are ignorant to the fact that high end chairs really make a big difference and there really isn't any snake-oil involved, unlike all these "racing-style gaming chairs". I mean, just the fact that its "RACING STYLE" chairs for people who are sitting in front of their computers is an oxymoron in itself.
 
And you shouldn't be defending this chair at all. There's no rhyme or reason to it, other than the fact that they're just look cool. And don't get me wrong, they do look cool, but for even this price range, you can find much better value in other chairs that actually promote good ergonomics.

Linus is a great source of information, but he is not god, and all of his advice and opinions are his own, I have often disagreed with him on stuff but I value his opinion
 
I think LTT should focus on what they want to do and what they do best, and not just become a glorified place of us to request him to do everything

That makes it unusable. I have done it, if you call that usable, you might consider going to console.
  But at least Nvidia might learn there fucking lesson. Doubtful though unless they actually get taken to the cleaners and have to give a full on refund to everyone that bought the card.

But yeah I am glad the issue got press, got out there, and I certainly hope this doesn't become a practice for them. I just can't imagine a full refund being an outcome.

At the end of it all if Nvidia looses this its the parasites (aka lawyers) win as they make the most out of it.
You ninja-ed me, I was just saying pretty much the same thing.

Other than someone's satisfaction for "sticking it to NVIDIA", aren't the only people REALLY benefiting from most class action lawsuits the lawyers? I don't have a 970 but I can understand how some people could feel cheated.
