Just a club I would like to start just for AMD 78xx owners and enthusiasts. In this thread we can post about our performance, OCing, heat, cooling solutions, game benchmarks and real time performance, screen shots, melt downs, funny things, rig picts, etc .

Here's my not so sexy beast LOL I love the performance and value it represents. It's a Gigabyte HD 7850 900Mhz "$150" from the NCIX Richmond, BC warehouse

Well I beg to differ. More Vram is an indicator of a sloppy coding job on the game devs part. Look at Metro Last Light and if this game is an indicator than Vram is not an issue in the next long while I mean even @ 1440P Metro does not even use more than 1GB Vram.

I think for roughly give of take another 10fps in most games over an HD 7970 is a bit criminal to charge roughly;y $200 more just imo.

nvidia has always been overpriced so what else is new. One thing we can always expect from team green is higher pricing.

If this has any merit, I just started researching computer hardware (quite avidly I might add) and from what I have seen, AMD has definitely got the best performance per dollar this generation. I know that isn't everything, but you can't deny it is most important.

Instead of nvidia mentioning that their cards are not very robust they use there marketing muscle and call it "Green Light" LOL. I think allot of people would actually say that Green Light is a good thing. IMO Green Light is a cop out mechanism for nvidia to cover up the fact that they perhaps should have developed the design a little bit more before bringing Kepler to market. Fermi never had quality control issues and those cards are beast. If Kepler is truly better than Fermi than they should be at leased as durable imo.

Most people don't buy high end. I used to but that was when you could get a brand new launch highest end HD Radeon for $300. Price has gone up but you are also getting less relative performance for the money. Now in days I bought the same amount of performance for $150 which cost me $600 back in 09 for the same performance. $600 today buys a whole lot less performance than it did back in 2009.

Get the HD 7850 for sure because it has better Tessellation and DX11 performance plus it runs allot cooler and quieter generally speaking. Oh and plus "AMD Radeon HD NeverSettle" Drivers and games.

7850 vs 6950 s very close man I would have got the HD 6950 is I could have found one for a great deal but I found an HD 7850 for $150 so that's what I pick up. If I could have got an HD 6950 for cheaper that's what I would have bought.

Sure the 460 is still a good card especially considering how cheap you can find them these days...
