After the recent windows update (ver 2004?), I started getting issues with memory management BSOD. I ran the windows memory diagonstic tool and it said that there was issues with the hardware. I turned to memtest and ran a couple of tests and found errors in the hundred range (300-900). I did a few more tests that included testing out each ram stick at a time and sticking them in different ram slots. Regardless of each scenario, I got errors at the end. I did a system restore back to last week before the windows update and started getting Critical process died BSOD. It got so bad that I couldn't even get into windows with safe mode on.
Thus, I did a clean install of windows 10. Interestingly, I ran the windows memory diagonstic tool and it reported no issue. I'm getting double the errors in memtest and I'm starting to wonder what I'm doing wrong. Should I be concerned about the errors that I'm getting in memtests or should I just ignore it and move along with my current ram setup?
I have some HyperX 3200mhz 2x8gb sticks coming in tomorrow with an SSD to test whether that would show any errors.
Any ideas as to why a system reset fixed my memory management issues? Was my Windows OS corrupted after the update?
