tbh, at this price point the MacBook Air is at such a competitive value compared to ultra books at the market right now. Other ultra books with similar price point tend to have a mixture of both aluminium and plastic. The battery life on the 13 inch is perfect for taking notes all day

Apple would have no reason to cheat because people who use iPhones obviously don't care about benchmarks.
 
On a serious note, did benchmarks seriously matter to people even before this happened?

most people are overlooking the M7 chip on the new iPhone tho, if you can read between the lines... it's designed for the iWatch
 
also NFC is irrelevant because if you take a look at the capabilities of the finger sensor + Bluetooth 4.0, mobile commerce can be done without NFC. Right now they're only allowing it with the iTunes store, but once they get deals with retailers and finance/card companies in place, they can open it up and completely bypass the need for NFC in commerce.
 
 
 
 
You can argue IR, screen size or expandability or camera but the conclusions to be made are for each of us individually. Because this is pretty much opinion based, there technically no such thing as the "best phone". I use an iPhone 4S, when I got it I never claimed it was the best, it just worked for me. Something else might work for somebody else.

How did you conclude that the 5s is behind? Because of the missing IR and NFC?

God, so many people berate the macs in this forum...
It's not that bad and if you're not stupid having best of both worlds is a great experience..

Now, I know you guys always think Apple is the one who always patent troll but looking at these numbers, Apple is really getting hammered by these lawsuits.
 
So, let's not hate Apple in this thread (ex. "Apple is copying everyone, they deserve to get sued", or "Apple been suing other companies.. now how does it feel?")  but all agree that patent trolls suck and it's terrible for any company to go through.

Obviously apple is not targeting their market toward you.

There's nothing wrong with Mac, they are bad from a gaming POV but they are great computers overall. It's just annoying when people are trying to 'convert' you. I love DIY PCs with custom WC loop, cable sleeving and all that nifty looking stuff, but I also enjoy using Macs for web browsing, text editing, programming.

but seriously. banning intellectual property patents? thats horrible. now they're going to make ideas non intellectual property.

I use adblock because I love the clean browsing experience, if I want to support someone, I would rather donate (like I've done with LTT) than have to deal with ads.

I agree, there is a huge difference between 1080p and 4k. However that difference is irrelevant when the difference cannot be experienced - very few people have a 4K capable display available, and the difference cannot be experienced with a 1080p display.
 
If this was a commercial device, I would be happy as it would be significantly lowering the pricepoint at which someone can record 4K content. However it's a consumer device, and will have essentially no impact upon the commercial market as a result. It won't affect the availability of 4K content in regard to TV shows, films etc.
