  1. I fixed my problem! I did 3 things, but I'll list them in how much I think the fix alone did it. 1: Updated the Bios with M-flash. 2: Made the usb-boot to NTFS instead of Fat-32 3: Bought a new usb key. I think the thing that fixed it was updating the Bios.
  2. I tried. The only one I can find is the Restore Defaults, which promts the pop-up saying Load Optimized Defaults?. Sadly gives the same result after saving changes and reboot. Does the USB need to be a Fat-32 or can it be NTFS?
  3. Already did that. The first one broke though, but the result is the same. as stated even using a DVD boot gives the same result. Yep. Using microsoft media creation tool from their own website.
  4. The only thing that was plugged in at the time was the USB boot, Mouse and Keyboard. I tried having the USB in usb 3.0 and 2.0 plug. I'll try take both mouse and keyboard out and boot it. I tried the waiting option, but after 1 hour I don't think it will work. It doesn't seems to load data from the usb or dvd when it freezes.
  5. I have just finished building my new PC. The bios booted and everything was fine, until I wanted to install windows 10 from a usb boot. The error I got is the spinning dots comes and stops after spinning 1 time and then freezes.I search the web for answers, and at this point I am certain that the problem is at the motherboard and not the install usb. I have re-installed the windows boot on 2 different usb's and even tried on a DVD. Same result every time.I have worked in the bios for some time now, with no luck. I changed the XMP to on. Set the "Windows 10 WHQL Support" to Enabled (and Disabled). Enabled and disabled MSI Fast Boot and Fast Boot. I can't see what I'm missing or what to do / try next.I was thinking on doing a M-Flash update for the BIOS but I'm afraid to brick it if it handles USB the same way with the USB boot. Or if someone can hand walk me in how to setup my bios so it will boot from USB or DVD. Any help is appreciated. I already lost a USB key in the process. Mobo: MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC CPU: Intel i7 9700k RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 32GB SSD: Samsung 970 Pro MZ-V7P1T0BW 1TB M.2 Picture for reference where the screen freezes.
  6. Yeah, I was aware of the external driver option but was hoping an alternative solution was possible so I dind't have to spend extra for en external when I already had an internal. But I guess the difference in dimension for the HDD cage will make that not possible. Thanks for the answers. I'll try find a cheap external bluray drive.
  7. I'm about finding the different components for a new PC. The only thing i'm missing is a Case. I've had my eyes on a "be quiet! Silent Base 801" Link What I noticed it that it doesn't have any openings for a DVD or Bluray driver. Since i'm only using a Bluray driver rarely i thought I could mount it into the storage driver slots. Then when the time comes for using the bluray I can simple open the glass panel, and close it again when i'm done using the bluray drive. Is that possible and if not what other solutions would you recommend?
  8. UPDATE: I fully removed steam from my HDD and installed steam on my SSD together with Fallout 4. Same loading time. Everything is the same. No change at all. I also noticed that when I move files from or to my SSD the loading LED is almost lid all the time. But when I start up Fallout 4 or fast travel it only blinks a little bit every other second. Any thoughts, ideas or "troubleshooting" I can do? Again any help is welcome
  9. Ok. Then I will do this tomorrow (it's 2:30 AM here right now) and post the result.
  10. I followed this guys guide. I am thinking of just uninstall steam on my HDD and then re-install it on my SSD. But I wanted to hear if any of you guys had a solution or tip to what the issue could be.
  11. Hey Guys. Hope I can explain this issue clear enough. I had Fallout 4 installed on my HDD which is also the place I have my steam installed. I noticed that when I fast travel in the world the loading screen was on for a long time. Since I have an SSD with my OS on it I thought that I would move my Fallout 4 game onto my SSD. After I did that I loaded up the game but found out that nothing has changed. The loading screen for both the game startup and fast travel is still up for a long time. I have a friend who also plays Fallout 4 and have the game installed on his SSD. He made a fast travel from a specific town to another which took him 11 seconds. I took the same trip and it took me 25 seconds, so something is not right, and somehow I am not getting all the loading speed from my SSD. The difference between my friends computers and mine is this: Mine----His SSD: Samsung EVO 840 --- Samsung EVO 850. GPU: Asus gtx strix 980 TI 6GB ---- Asus gtx strix 980 4GB. CPU: Intel i5 4670k Core OC to 4.3GHz ---- i7 4790K 4.0Ghz (4.4Ghz Turbo). I can't tell why I should be slower than my friend and why I can't fell a difference between playing Fallout 4 on a HDD or SSD. We talked about it and the only difference is that he has steam installed on his SSD when I have it installed on my HDD. Can it be it? Also my HDD is a Seagate Barracuda STBD3000200 3TB. Any help or tips is very much appreciated. tl;dr: Fallout 4 is equally slow at loading both on HDD and SSD
  12. Sry if the title doesn't make any sense. <_< Long story short. I bought a new motherboard for my PC. I also bought a new Windows 7 Pro product key. But I didn't get a DVD installer with it. I know that I can make a DVD / USB for the installer but I already have a Windows 7 Pro DVD installer that I got with my old PC. My question is: Can I use my old Windows 7 pro DVD installer to install windows on my PC with the new motherboard and use my new Windows 7 pro product key to activate on it? I hope my question is clear enough. If not let me know.
  13. Waow. That was some fast responses. Awesome. Hmmm. The RAZER DEATHSTALKER do look very nice I might consider it. Do any of you have experience with it?
  14. Hello all. I am on a hunt for a keyboard that is mostly silent when you type. A few days ago my old keyboard broke, and I had to get a new one. I brought a Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown keys. After i began to use it I notice that the keys are too loud for my taste. I don't like the loud clicks and high profile on the keys. And all in all it's just not my type of keyboard. So I come to you for some advice for a keyboard with: Low noise keyboard clicks. Medium profile keys (can also be low profile. Just not high) Illuminate is preferable. and gaming orientated. I would like to hear suggestions (if you have any) or what searches I could do to make me get the keyboard I want Thanks in advance.
