  1. Hi all,so after 5 years,I'm building pc from scratch (I'm reusing my case, cooler, hdd and nvme is already bought) PC will be used for browsing(15 tabs at once),youtube and gaming at 1440p 144hz monitor and 4K 120hz TV. I made list in partpicker before buying although without gpu, because I need some advice here also. Should I go with rtx 3080/3080ti or wait for some price drops of 4080 or 7900xt cards ? I upgrade my pc once every 4-5 years so going with 1700 socket is ok for me,anyways I always replace almost all the parts. Any additional advices of the build will be much appreciated! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YRYMgb P.S maybe I will change memory to cl32 if that matters also.
  2. This board supports bios flashback,is this one ok? https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-z690-aorus-elite-ax-ddr4/p/N82E16813145350?Description=gigabyte aorus z690&cm_re=gigabyte_aorus z690-_-13-145-350-_-Product&quicklink=true
  3. Thanks,I'm more looking in buying 3080 or 3080ti if there will be any good deals. So should I take that asus tuf mobo ? But I guess there is another problem with that mobo that I will be in need of 12th gen to update it?
  4. So,I decided to take this parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2CCYhk I have dark rock pro 4 and I haven't decided about the gpu yet. I game on 144hz 1440p monitor + 4k 120hz sony tv. No editing, just pure gaming + home machine for browsing, YouTube etc. Do you guys think this would be good build for upcoming 3-4 years and what would be GPU recommendations ? P.S Does this motherboard will work with 13th gen out of the box or I will need 12th gen to update bios?
  5. Yeah, tomorrow raptor will be released and if tests will be good, I will take it (13700k)
  6. So I guess now is the time to wait for new cpu/gpu-s to stabilize market prices and also wait for some benchs and not buy anything before black friday ? And also,raptor+ddr4 32gb+3080 will be optimal for 2-3 years ? But as always again I won't be able to change only cpu and will be in need to change whole system, correct ?
  7. Budget (including currency): 2000 Country: usa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games Other details: Hello fellas, so couple of days ago I gave my 4 year old pc (9700k,16gb RAM,MB,970 evo,2080 and psu) to my brother-in-law and now I'm without PC. Mainly I game AAA games on my 144hz 1440p LG monitor, no editing or coding etc,but for last years not so much and because of that we also bought 4k 120hz Sony tv (x90j) + switch (Nintendo) for couch gaming and family gatherings. My main goal is still to play on LG monitor, but wanna try also on TV (thus future proofing for 4k tv + maybe new monitor, dunno) All my builds always have been intel's latest gen cpu + nvidia gpu, but I haven't built for almost 5 years and now as I see things have kinda changed. My budget is something like 2k$ and I have to buy from amazon (no microcenter etc) I still have my pc case, cooler (dark rock pro 4) and couple of 4TB hdd's. What you guys recommend doing ? I saw that nvidia 4th series are upcoming and also intel and amd cpu's and all of this making me confused about new build. Should I also change my monitor or 1440p monitor + 4k TV combo is enough? Thanks in advance
  8. Just finished win10 optimize tool for defrag and all sounds are gone, hurray!
  9. Maybe, but there is 0 sound coming from another hdd during video playback.
  10. Hello everyone ! So I have this 2 HDD's which I bought this year, both are 4TB 7200 versions. On one of the HDD's (Hitachi) when MPC or any other video player is playing some movie there are sounds coming from HDD,which are similar to read/write sounds, also if you drag the time code slider in player, you can hear the sounds non-stop during slider dragging. I bought this drive brand new and there are no problems with it,like overheating or bad sectors or corrupted data files or anything like that, just this read/write sounds during video playback. Scheduled optimization for both drives are turned off and this HDD with sounds need fragmentation (win 10 drive tool says that, can it be because of that?) I also attached screenshots for both drives, just in case. Thanks in advance !
  11. I just bought G305 several days ago and while it is kinda perfect mouse for me (shape, small size, nice button, long battery life, best sensor) I can't stand with it's scroll wheel. I own also kone pure military and after it's wheel this 305 wheel is even kinda painful to use,it is very stiff and not comfortable for browsing or using in game, can someone relate to my words or will I get used to it or should I change my mouse? Any recommendations ?

  13. 1 month later and believe it or not,I'm still looking what to buy. There is Samsung CHG70 32' version in my country for 600$ Also there is this acer 31.5 for 350$ - https://smile.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=acer+31.5&qid=1555591019&s=gateway&sr=8-1 Thing is that returning isn't an option if I just don't like something,it should be defective so I have to buy with confidence. Samsung is using PWM and I don't know will it be hurting eyes or not during gaming sessions, there is no info about Acer regarding PWM,but it's almost half the price of samsung... I know that buying monitor is the most difficult in PC part picking but am I missing any nice monitors bigger that 27 which are worth buying or maybe some upcoming models or should I try 27'? UW isn't an option for me because of weird short height. I'm open to any recommendations, thanks folks.
  14. just 1 question,why that and not this ? https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-Z321QU-bmiphzx-Technology/dp/B07BDQNDKY/ref=sr_1_9?crid=MSS5WV6EW81B&keywords=32 in ultrawide monitor 1440p&qid=1554496276&s=gateway&sprefix=32in ultr,aps,167&sr=8-9&tag=linus21-20
