I'm not sure if you missed the part where I mentioned that I'm building a ryzen build, or if you're suggesting that I build Intel. If it's the latter, kindly go away you filthy intel fanboy.

Honestly, just get a DDR4-3000 or 3200 kit from a reputable brand like Corsair or G.Skill. No need waste $100 on a "For Ryzen" RAM kit.

Ok i read your article. Get the i7. With a 980ti any amd chip will indefinitely be a bottle neck. You're gonna want DDR4 ram too, and NOT 32 GIGABYTES OMFG HAHAHAHAHA. I'm sorry but that was an uneducated decision. The reason you see linus's builds with 128GB of ram is because he does rediculous things with them like running 7 virtual PCs. I have 16Gb, and I have an excessive problem with just minimizing windows. I also use google chrome, which is a ram eater. I have never in my life used more than 70% of my total ram capacity with GTA V and a bunch of things in the background. Don't be dumb and save ur money on that expensive DDR4 ram.

Yup! Plug it from the wall to one of the ports, and whatever you want into the rest. You'll have internet on everything plugged in.

Edit: Just in case you are confused. Connect the wall to port 1, pc to port 2, ps4 to port 3, etc.

If you want a computer that expensive (1600 doesn't look like a lot folks, but we're talking euros here so about $2300.00 CAD) then I personally think that you should take some responsibility for the price. The first thing I sniffed out when I looked at your parts list was *ahem* OVERKILL!!!! I understand you want it to be future proof, but there's still a difference between future proof and overkill. I'm assuming you'll be using this machine for word processing, and judging from your choice of graphics card, 4K gaming (so lets add another $1000.00 CAD for the 4K monitor). If you are not 4K gaming, pick a more sensible graphics solution. The 980 Ti is a beast but realism is a factor to be considered when money is an issue. Next up, the ram. There are numerous videos online about RAM speed and quality and how it effects performance. It comes down to this: It doesn't. You don't need expensive ram! Throw some red hyper-X fury sticks in there and move on. Lets look at the processor... Hyperthreading is a nice feature.. truly it is.. however it won't be put to work in gaming nor word processing. Maybe the i5 is slightly more sensible. Moving on. Are you going to raid those two SSDs? Don't. Money is an issue here so uh lets not take advantage of your parents ignorance regarding technology. My machine boots on a single Samsung 840 EVO in 15 seconds. What more can you ask for? Samsung SSDs are really fast with that rapid mode of theirs that uses DRAM as extra cache. Ingenious!  Keep one SSD and the mass storage drive, but unless you're booting on the mass storage (which I hope you aren't you have an ssd) downgrade that to a WD blue. You just don't need that speed. Cooling? Hah. Nope. Just get what every other teenager with a gaming PC is getting and go for the Hyper 212 EVO from coolermaster. Especially if you're downgrading for an i5 (which you should). Case? I like it its a great case. Power supply? Never cheap out on those. Good job. You might want a little more voltage to add head room for overclocking, since you chose an unlocked processor.

Sorry for being so adamant.. I just want you to realize that it comes down to the difference between want and need. With those downgrades, you will still be future proofed.

You can look at my AMD system on my profile. It was cheap, and can handle GTA on high. I guess it just makes my room really hot. But AMD is a good money saving solution.

    Good luck my friend.

All in One or a closed looped cooler comes with everything you need(pump, radiator, fan, block and reservoir) all pre-assembled leaving you only to install it in your PC? A custom loop requires you to buy all the parts separately or in a kit, leaving you to assemble all the parts together. a AIO will only usually cool the cpu with a smaller radiator size, while a custom loop will allow the cooling of both the cpu and gpu with a bigger or more radiators for better cooling. This along with the harder assembly can cost hundreds of dollars, while a AIO will only usually cost a 100ish dollars, but with an easier install, but poorer performance.Edit: just watch Jay's video, my explanation here is kinda poorly written since I have a headache and it's really late

OH. MY. GAWD. AMERICAN PRICES ARE RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP. IN CANADA THAT WOULD COST LIKE 1500. Okay so yes great build good job.. Here's what I'll recommend, however this is my opinion and I understand lots of people are biased against certain companies >>>

Motherboard: Small, overclocking would not be a very feasible idea. Esp. with that psu

CPU: Omg its so cheap for you :'( If it were that cost I would have bought intel too. I'm beginning to understand the bias for it across north america, as THEY ARE CHEAP IN THE STATES OMG.

Okay so consider this: A 200 dollar amd processor (probs the 9590 for you) would outperform the intel one, however at the cost of heat and power consumption. But the speed and cores man. I get single core performance will not compare to intel. For gaming however, amd is a good way to invest more in the gpu, as cpus arent that essential.

Other than that seems like a good build good for you.

I have to agree with Suika. 280x has the best price/performance ratio, and if you get a factory OC you've got a pretty powerful card. Might want to consider 285 for the "newer gen features" AMD has to offer. The 285 has slightly less performance than the 280 (not 280X), however it has these new features, such as better mantle support, freesync and true audio. Mantle will help IMMENSELY for new games, especially star citizen which I'm pretty sure is being optimized for it. Good luck!
