  1. for those wondering about the 0db feature, consider this https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1044879/
  2. Thanks for the input. Are you using any kind of software/special settings to achieve that?
  3. For those with the same card as mine, what is your idle wattage? I just wanna compare and hopefully find a way to lower mine as I use the computer for work as well which sometimes requires just me typing on some notepads. Currently using 2 1440p monitors at 180hz (main) and 60hz (2nd) and i usually get around 55 watts when idling. I have Nvidia MDPS so the clocks are relative low (210 core and 400 mem) I have the GPU bios at performance and the power settings at windows on balanced and power management on Nvidia Control Panel to normal Also, I'm having trouble running both the monitors to run at 144hz simultaneously. The main one have no problem setting at 180/165/144 but the 2nd one only have options up to 100 hz even though is 144hz capable. I'm using DP 1.4 on my main and HDMI 2.1 on my 2nd which i think is more than capable to run both at 144hz.
  4. Thank you very much for confirming. That said, when I upgrade to a new gpu say a 3070 (praying for miracles), would this not be an issue anymore?
  5. Hi! I'm currently having a problem when setting my monitors refresh rate to 180 hz as most of my texts appear to have a weird color fuzz (see pic). This seems not to happen when setting the refresh rate lower (165/144/120 etc) Monitor in use : LG 27GP850-B 165hz OCable to 180hz GPU: Gtx 970 using DP Also somethings to note, when setting the monitor to 180hz, I lose the ability to choose RGB + Full in the Nvidia Color settings and instead is limited to YCbCr422 and Limited Output Dynamic Range. Could this be an issue of an outdated Displayport version of the 970? Bandwidth etc? Thanks for the Info. P.S. I specifically blurred the image so that the color fuzz would be more apparent. The clear version is set at 165hz and the 180hz is the blurry one.
  6. I'll try and dwell upon which version of DP is included with the card. Thank you for the info!
  7. This precisely answer the question so thank you for this
  8. Hi! As the title suggests, can my old but gold 970 support 1440p at 165hz and 180hz? Not talking bout gaming fps, just the native refresh rate. Thanks in advance!
  9. Thank you for this but I think the extra cost wouldn't be worth it. I might end up buying the same model instead. Still thank you!
  10. I see. I thought since they may have been of the same line, just an updated version, they would have been somehow similar. This is new knowledge so thank you!
  11. I see. I was thinking of just putting the same value for R G B contrast gamma etc. But thanks for the info!
  12. Hi! As the title suggests, I would ask if you can calibrate two LG monitors to appear the same? Specifically the 27 GL850-B and it's successor the 27 GP850-B. I've been enjoying the 27 GL850-B and was thinking of buying a second one. Then came the sale of the newer 27-GP850 so I'm thinking of getting it. They probably use the same panels with a bit of tweeks but I wanna be sure I can get them to look the same in terms of color. My current setup is the aforementioned 27GL850 main and Asus VG259Q and the color difference is night and day even though both are IPS. Here are a few stats from other tech reviewers. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/lg-27gl850-b-vs-lg-27gp850-b/912/24452?usage=3623&threshold=0.10
  13. I've found one work around. That is to set the secondary monitor to a 120 hz. It idles properly now albeit it still spikes to 60w more frequently vs my old setup with Multi Display Power Saver (it's more consistent at 22-24w even when browsing the web/playing yotube). By setting the secondary 1080p monitor, the wattage fluctuates at 25-60 rage depending on what's going on with chrome. It's better than staying at 60w (3500mhz mem clock) all the time but still I'm hoping there's a chance MDPS will work. Will leave this post unanswered just in case someone has a better solution. I'm happy with it now though so thanks for the inputs.
