  1. I have now taken the card apart, to check for blown caps and remove any dust, but the problem is still there. I'm gonna take the card to a repair shop tomorrow to check if the card is the problem as i don't have another pc myself to check it in. I don't think any warranty is gonna cover it, as the card is over 5 years old.
  2. So here the other day my GTX 580 suddenly started to show artifacts on my screen (see pics below). As you can see the problem is also there on the boot screen, which suggests that it is not a driver issue(I have the lastest nvidia driver). When I look in GPU-Z the card kinda shows up, but it says 0 MHz in both core and memeory clock. I'm not sure if the problem is the gpu itself or maybe a faulty psu. The system seems to run just fine outside 3D applications. I could really use some help on this one, but if it turns out that my 580 is done then it wouldn't be the worst time to upgrade, if I can get my hands on a new 1060 Any help is appriciated.
  3. I've always wanted a projector for my small dorm room and this could be it.

  5. This is very cool, but it is also a way for Facebook to get their service and by extension their money making machine to all the corners of the world. http://www.wired.com/2015/07/facebook-poses-test-737-sized-solar-powered-drone/
