  1. I think you are right. Probably I'll be needing a new CPU.
  2. Yes I did. With DX11, the CPU usage was 100% on all four cores. With DX12, the CPU usage was about 90-100% most of the time. The RAM usage was around 5.5-6.9GB while playing BF1.
  3. I just reinstalled my Windows 10 Education 64-bit just last week. So, it shouldn't be a problem, right? And I only have a few apps installed at this moment.
  4. The GPU usage is around 30-45% at max. The CPU utilization remains 90-100% most of the time @ 4.3GHz. The RAM usage is around 5.5GB to 6.9GB most of the time after a fresh reboot when playing BF1.
  5. Putting the graphics on High and Increasing the Super Sampling to 100% did improve the performance of the game with DX12. But when the CPU hits 100%, the FPS drops to 10-15FPS. I wanted to increase the RAM but if the CPU is bottlenecking, I think I should change the CPU first, right?
  6. Yes. With DirectX 11, it's 100% all the time. But with DirectX 12, it stays around 90-100% most of the time. And when the CPU hits 100%, the FPS drops.
  7. I ran BF1 on Ultra and still I get stutters and very low FPS. Sometimes now dropped to 10-15FPS. And also my CPU is almost constantly running at 100% usage and highest temperature was 63 degree Celsius @ 4.3GHz. So, I lowered down to High settings and Internal Resolution now increased to 100% and still no improvement. With DirectX 11, the performance is much worse. But with DirectX 12, the performance has slightly improved but it can barely keep 60FPS let alone crossing that. My V-SYNC is off btw.
  8. Hello Guys! So, my old Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X probably died in my old rig. And so, I put a new MSI GTX 1070Ti on that old rig. The config of that rig is: 1. CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.3GHz (OC'd & watercooled) 2. GPU: MSI ARMOR GTX 1070Ti 3. RAM: G.SKill TridentX 8GB @ 1600MHz 4. PSU: Seasonic 750 Watt Now, I play mostly FPS games like Battlefield, Call of Duty and such. I found that my FPS are below average. For example, In Battlefield 4 on Ultra settings @ 1080P, sometimes my FPS drops below 60FPS on almost all the maps. In Battlefield 1, even in Low Settings @ 1080P, the FPS drops to 25-20FPS. This, I think is probably caused by my lower RAM for BF1. I know that for BF1, my CPU doesn't meet the minimum requirements. But for BF4, it should as far as I remember. So, now the question is, is my CPU bottlenecking the GPU? Because I know that 1070Ti is more than capable of handling 1080P @ Ultra settings. Thanks!
  9. Hello guys. I have a MSI GE62 6QD notebook and recently I've noticed my screen is showing some problems with red color. The red color is appearing hazy. Since screenshot won't help much as your screen would be good, I tried to portray the scenario on MS Paint to accurately describe the problem. You see, after each horizontal line of red pixel, the next horizontal line of red pixels appear dim and almost looks like black. As I work with Graphics and video editing stuff, this is very problematic. I have also noticed I have 1 dead pixel on my screen. But this red pixel problem is very annoying. I'm seeing the problems with Red, Orange etc colors. Green, blue and other colors are working fine. The notebook display is connected via eDP. Googling, I found it might have been an overheat issue, and I found 2 things. A week ago, when the laptop seems a little overheated, the red problem occurred. If I shut down the PC and restart it, the screen problem would have gone. But now, the problem is not going away and there's no overheating problems either. The problem occurs right after boot. I still have warranty left 6 months warranty left. So what should I do now? My college has just started, so if I RMA, it will take a while. Thanks.
  10. Guys, as it turns out, I think the problem might be with the version of Windows 10 OS I'm using. It's an Insider Preview version. Before this, I didn't have any RAM Usage problem. And yesterday, I found out that QBittorrent also gives the same problem. But it doesn't happen only if I use Torrent client, which I found out yesterday. Yesterday, I downloaded a game from Steam which is over 20GB at ~90Mbps and my RAM went straight to 97% usage in just an hour. I downloaded Battlefield from Origin and same thing happened, ran out of memory. The worst part now is, I can't go back to a stable version of the OS now. I updated to my current OS Build from another Insider Preview build. So, if I roll back, it just rolls back to the previous Preview build and I can't go back to a stable version. I know I can just reinstall Windows but it will be a very tedious job. One thing I noticed is that, if I normally use the Internet for things like browsing, playing online games the RAM usage remains stable. Only when I download files at high speed (Over 40+Mbps), this problem occurs. So, what should I do? Live with this horrible problem and hope that the Fall Creators Update will solve it or just reinstall the OS? Thanks.
  11. Done. But still didn't work. I think the problem maybe with the Vuze and uTorrent client. I ran Transmission for 5-6hrs and it didn't cause any problems at all. So, I'm gonna uninstall Vuze and uTorrent. But Qbittorrent seemed like a little better regarding UI. Transmission is simple and it works. Yep. Using Qbittorrent right now. After running it for 7hrs, there was no RAM usage issue. So, I'm switching to Qbittorrent. Thank you guys for the suggestions.
  12. Thank you guys for the reply. All my drivers are up to date. And I updated the JRE yesterday and checked the situation. But nothing changed. RAM is still drained if Torrent is being downloaded. I uninstalled Vuze and using only uTorrent. But it didn't stop. Googling, I found some say it's a driver leak by the Killer Network card. But I can't uninstall that because without that driver, my Ethernet won't work. Finding no solution, I went back to the previous build of Windows 10 Insider Preview. But still the problem persists. I can't go back to Public Release of Windows 10 unless I reinstall Windows completely. But I can't reinstall Windows right now. As always, uTorrent isn't using the RAM but I can't figure out what is consuming the RAM. I installed Transmission as @BubblyCharizard said will provide feedback after testing. @PineyCreek Should I try QBittorrent as well?
  13. Hello there! I'm facing a problem recently regarding RAM. My old PC is currently running Windows 10 Education Insider Preview Build 16278.rs3_release.170825-1441. My PC is running a Core i5 4690K with 8GB DDR3 RAM @2133MHz . 1x 256GB SATA SSD and 1x WD Green 2TB backup drive. I have two Bittorrent client installed. One is Vuze and the other one is uTorrent. Recently I noticed abnormal memory usage, not by the torrent client but probably Windows. After a fresh reboot, the computer uses about 34-40% memory while idle (no application, games running. Just a fresh start). But if I start downloading torrent (small or big file doesn't matter), the RAM memory gets increased gradually. After about 1-2hrs later, Windows Task Manager will show memory usage around 80-85% and if I continue running, it gradually becomes 99% and the system becomes unstable and stops responding. Then, I have the use the good old restart button of the chassis to start the computer again. The thing is, I thought uTorrent is consuming the RAM but to my surprise, Task Manager was showing that uTorrent was using only 40-60MB of RAM. For Vuze, it is about 260-270MB. But my memory usage was just skyrocketing. I googled for solutions and found one that Windows NDU was causing problems. So, I went to registry editor and stopped it. But it didn't solve anything. Can anybody tell me what might be the problem here? Is it the torrent client? Vuze and uTorrent? I am skeptical that two different client would cause the same problem. Or is it a problem with the Windows? Or my Killer E2200 Network adopter is causing this memory leak? I have attached screen shot of the Task Manager and the Resource Manager. Thanks!
  14. I have 2x Front Intake, 1x Bottom Intake, 2x Top Exhaust and at the back, the radiator of Cooler Master Seidon 120V Plus in push-pull. And, adding the extra 1x Bottom Intake and 2x Top Exhaust is really helping to keep the Sapphire R9 290 to remain cool in my setup. And didn't notice any significant change in the CPU temperature. I've a Cooler Master CM 690 III chassis. In my case, more fans helped the GPU most than the CPU.
