It depends how you want to control your fans, you can let the mobo control them based on temp/load in which case plug them into mobo only, or you can control them with the fan controller.

You can't re-install to get another 3 months, the designed it so once your 3 months are up you need to purchase a copy, right now your in a situation where the old install isn't completely removed.

Do you have any office software installed at the moment? you could try manually finding any office files/reg entries left behind but this can be very dangerous if you don't know what your doing.

Not sure yet, people have been complaining on the Chrome support forums for month and they only admitted it was a recognised issue a few weeks ago, fingers crossed though.

OK yes that router is going to slow you down a lot over wifi, I wouldn't expect as low as your getting but best bet is to upgrade it asap.

USB wifi cards can cause issues like this, though provided its in a USB 2.0 port it shouldn't affect you that much, if you using an extention cable to move it away from your case make sure its a full USB 2.0 extension not a cheap flimsy one.

    What model is the router?

open up a command prompt as admin and type in 'SFC /SCANNOW'. See if it reports any violations and it will fix them (you may need to run it more than once). That should hopefully fix your issues.

Ok now that critisism is out of the way.

look on the motherboard manuel, there should be a layout of where all the fan connectors are, and I cannot say more because people tend to forget the basis of posting in the troubleshooting section.

If you go in disk management, there would of been an option to expand the disk space of the selected partition. I do this all the time, after cloning from SSD to HDD for whatever reason, I would just go into the Windows disk management and expand to the partition to use up whatever left over space isn't used.

Check the power connections on your mobo, this could be caused if there is not enough power getting to the USB bus to power your mem stick.

What are your full system specs and PSU?

If when you get the prompt up you use the windows based script host what happens, there are quite a people reporting that generating errors, I'm wondering if part of the removal of Dregol broke the file association which is why you get this error rather than a more common one that others have seen.

It could be, you might be right, but I would have thought that breaking the file association for .js would be causing more issues than just this? But then again I've never had this particular issue before so what actually happens when .js files are disassociated from Windows is beyond my knowledge level.
    @zacRupnow
Could you search in C:\Windows for a .js file using File Explorer please and see if .js has a file association assigned to it?
Do this to search for a file of a particular type.
Go to your Desktop, and open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows.
Type into the search bar on the upper right corner of the window "*.js" without the quotation marks and press enter.
A list of all files with the type .js and .json should appear.
Right click on 1 of the files with the .js file extension and then left click on Properties.
Look at the "Opens with" portion of the properties page, if it says "Microsoft Windows Based Script Host" then all .js files are correctly associated.
If it says it is assigned to the program above then your problem is different and we're still stuck as to what is causing the issue, if not then follow the guide below to set it to its correct association.
If it says anything else then you need to click on the button titled "Change" and in the window that opens look for the one titled "Microsoft Windows Based Script Host"
If that option isn't visible then click on the arrow next to the words "Other Programs" and look in there.
If it still isn't there then you need to click on Browse and navigate to C:\Windows\system32\wscript.exe and click on the file and then click "OK" then "OK" again and then once more and that should now set all .js files to open with the correct application.
I sincerely hope this fixes your issue, if it doesn't then we're gonna have to really get creative.
I take no credit for this if it works, the credit goes entirely to Beltboy for pointing me in the right direction.

My first guess, you've had a browser hijacker recently that you managed to get rid of but you missed a bit.

You have something running in the background that is trying to access a malicious JavaScript file that isn't there.

This is common when the laptop is off. You did not state that this problem exists when the laptop is on. If it does not come on when it is on and getting really hot, then it will eventually shut down on its own due to overheating. You could also follow ZetZet's suggestion:

All hard drive will "spin up" in the boot process. Windows when it boots needs to know what it has connected to it as well. (other hard drives) as well as the wonderful file indexer.......... It is the nature of the beast. Not just spying on your stuff......
