How about a H80i? Put it where the exhaust fan belongs?

Quietest option, probably just a heatsink and no fans = passive cooling
But performance isn't gonna be good.
quietest option + good performance = watercooling
not the quietest, but nearly as quiet as passive but with better performance

Hello everybody!
I run a 3570K with the stock cooler at the moment. I`m not planning on doing any overclocking at the moment and i`m looking for the most quiet solution for this CPU. I`ll be using the PC for a home recording studio. Right now I`m looking at the Noctua NH-C14 which is branded as a silent cooler. Is there anything better as far as silent aircooling goes? Or may be a watercooling solution could be quieter?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!

so right now i have 2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052
and i was wondering if it would be worth it to replace one and get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014270
i have heard a lot about 120hz monitors and can't really decide. would it be worth it?
yes, go 120 hertz

You don't NEED it, but it's an awesome experience. At the very least have your OS on it, and your frequently used programs too if you can.
exactly

That's because "adequately" is subjective. Sure it will work but in comparison to a full loop it will perform notably worse.
It will keep a graphics card as cool as it was with air cooling but without the fan noise would be my best description.
you forgot to say worse looks too imo

So my Hyper212 EVO started making a fast clicking sounds like a baseball card on a bike spoke but on a much smaller scale
I oiled it (not WD40) went silent but now its back and wont go away
Sooo what do you guys think?
change the fan? or take it off and examine

I use a small font size when what I have to say is directed at someones forum etiquette rather then the topic at hand because I of course have no authority and therefore it is a friendly suggestion rather then anything else. Of course you should realize that by scrolling more I mean its just a waste of space that serves no purpose but I will leave that to you to work out.
TLDR; Quoting pictures is equivalent to spam in my eyes.
