I like the dubs, even if they don't sound perfect.

As someone who often has LTT and other YT videos on a second display or on a tablet whilst I'm doing something else, I'm strongly against 'correcting' audible/verbal errors with on screen text. I don't think this is an appropriate solution as it will often not be seen.

I thought Razer had lost touch with reality. Maybe I have.

My initial thought of not being able to see Twitter was; who cares. However, I later realised, Elon's hissy fit impedes access to emergency alerts and broadcasts.

SSD for boot drive is a must and will show a performance improvement, regardless of what you are using the computer for.

As for RAM, it really depends on what you use the computer for. With that said, given the CPU, you're unlikely to be doing anything which will see any benefit beyond 8GB of RAM.

Thank you. I found Puget's article.

    I've made a few amendments.
    CPU to 5900X.
    970 EVOs to a 4TB Corsair MP600
    PSU to HX850
    Memory to (probably) G.SKILL F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN

No one can do this. The life of a drive can't be guaranteed.
You've just had really bad luck. That, or you're not taking care of your gear.

Of the 10+ external hard drives I've had over the years, I've never had a drive randomly die on me. The one time a drive has died on me is when I accidentally plugged a laptop power brick into an external HDD enclosure and fried the TVS diode. Even then, once I snipped off the TVS diode, I was able to recover my data.

What I have seen, a lot, is other people ruining their external hard drives due to carelessness. Usually it's the enclosure which is stuffed and the actual drive is fine. The most common thing is people not bothering to unplug the micro USB cable from the drive, before they chuck it in their bag. This will, of course, eventually ruin the connection.
