  1. So would you say something like this would be more than useable? I've added memory in the list, but I already have 16Gb of RAM from when I upgraded my gaming rig, so would be using that. The case isn't a final choice either, just a placeholder. PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor (£87.53 @ CCL Computers) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.84 CFM CPU Cooler (£39.99 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: MSI B450I GAMING PLUS MAX WIFI Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard (£97.81 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (£79.98 @ Scan.co.uk) Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£83.98 @ Box Limited) Case: Fractal Design Node 202 HTPC Case (£64.79 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: Fractal Design Ion SFX-L 500 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply (£80.47 @ Scan.co.uk) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit (£124.93 @ Newegg UK) Total: £659.48 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-07-14 20:40 BST+0100
  2. Budget (including currency): £700-ish Country: Britain Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Media Streaming, Movie watching mainly. General web browsing. Maybe playing some indie games, though that's unlikely Other details So I want to build a SFF HTPC/Media streaming PC for the living room so I don't have to keep connecting and disconnecting laptops. I feel like Integrated graphics are the way to go at the moment, but don't really know what the best/least worst option is for CPU's with Integrated graphics for this use case is. I know AMD should be releasing their 5000 series APU's soon, but would they be overkill? Is there a cheaper option available now that would meet my needs?
  3. Hey I've recently been encountering some problems with memory usage/leakage while gaming. I wanted to stress my system memory to test if it's actually okay or if I need new sticks/just more RAM. I currently run an AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.5Ghz with 8Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz. I was going to use Aida64. Is the trial version able to run a system memory test? Also are there any other good alternatives? Thanks.
  4. Mostly amazon uk, maybe ebuyer. Any PC parts are from wherever I can get them cheapest.
  5. So basically the TV shows of my teenage years Mythbusters and Top Gear are no more. At least Mythbusters will end on a bombshell.
  6. Okay that's kind of an interesting way of leak testing. It feels more scientific than filling it up and praying it's fine.
  7. I do love a desk build. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
  8. I am willing to risk it. I have a few questions. How much liquid did it take to fill? It seemed like a lot. Also the little fitting assembly coming from the graphics card bridge, what's that for? Are you using it to remove air from the loop?
  9. So I'm now planning an elaborate heist, as that is amazing. That distribution plate looks great now that the liquid cooling is complete. The hard piping is so well done.
  10. Those are fair enough reasons. I want to do an ITX Skylake build as my next one and was leaning more towards the Corsair 250D case, because I shouldn't be needing that many HDD/SSD/disk drive mounting points. It's not that I don't trust Asrock to make motherboards, I just generally lean towards Asus/Gigabyte/MSI for motherboards. Asrock have the features I would like but now the colour scheme. I like fairly plain looking motherboards.
  11. This looks like it could be pretty cool. I'll keep an eye on this.
  12. I have a pretty long list of bands I've seen live. I'll put it in spoiler tags to save people scrolling. My favourites to see live are Crossfaith, Linkin Park, Enter Shikari and Lindsey Stirling.
  13. In my group of friends I've popularised "You're/that's just a discount XYZ" "You're a XYZ" XYZ depends on what's been said and doesn't need to make sense.
  14. That cabling is the cleanest cable management I've ever seen. It's beautiful.
  15. It's one of the reasons I don't own a mechanical keyboard as they all seem to go with the style I posted in the image. The Steelseries 6GV2 is the only one I've found with a tall enter key.
  16. What are some of the difficulties when it comes to hard tubing? I imagine keeping the tube uniform in width is pretty difficult on some bends
  17. I found myself using them when using Word at university, when my PC was wanting to do it's own format thing. For me the most useless button is the backslash button. I've never used it, and for me it just ruins the enter button when located like where it is in the image. I like having a tall enter button.
  18. So I wasthinking about an mITX Skylake build. What made you go with that case and that motherboard?
  19. So this is looking pretty interesting. What made you want to make a build like this?
