  1. +1 for Kingston. Love their line of RAM.
  2. Jeez. This is a thread that would only appear on a tech forum.
  3. Use more cable ties and make sure everything is neat.
  4. I never do. Too bad Windows 10 has an annoying tendency to randomly shut my PC down.
  5. You can do that with an auto. You're not losing any momentum whatsoever when you change gears, you don't have to worry about a clutch and it's one less thing to concentrate on when you're going through difficult tracks. Manual does have its perks in some cases, such as going down steep inclines. Yep! Exactly like that. So nice.
  6. Exactly. Clock speeds don't have anywhere near as much meaning as they did 10 years ago. We need models of the chips before we can tell you for certain..
  7. No, but a single card is always more stable. Down the track you can add another 980 and blow SLI'd 970s out of the water.
  8. I started with manual, however now I drive automatic. I own a four wheel drive and hit the tracks every weekend, automatic is just so much easier. My next car will be a manual, though .. not by choice, they don't make 70 Series Landcruisers in automatic!!
  9. I used this name back when I'd play V8 Supercars on PS2 as a kid. It has just stuck ever since.
  10. My god. I thought those models were photos of a real PC. I was all like 'daym, nice PC' before I saw your second post. That silver/black theme is awesome.
  11. What are you using the system for? I can almost guarantee that you won't notice a difference.
  12. People need to understand that the Haswell refresh and Devils Canyon have been out for some time now. The big BIOS reset shit storm hardly applies anymore. 9 times out of 10 you'll end up with a board that's perfectly compatible with any processor on the market. Suppliers won't hold onto stock that old, especially considering it's a popular board.
  13. Remove your graphics card and start the system; Try one stick of RAM at a time. If that doesn't work the motherboard is probably faulty.
  14. Why would you want to mix them anyway? If it's colour you're looking for, Corsair have a blue variant of their Vengeance RAM. Generally the RAM will automatically drop down to the slowest speed in the configuration, so that shouldn't be an issue. It'll run at 1600.
  15. RMA it then. Before you do this it always pays to contact the manufacturer. I've found that Asus are always pretty good with warranty and customer support, so if they can't suggest any potential fixes they'll sort out an RA for you.
  16. Trust me, a current gen processor will still be perfectly fine. There are plenty of people still running Sandy Bridge without any problems.
  17. Not required unless you're going to be overclocking it to its boiling point. Sure, some enthusiasts might do it for performance and what not .. but as far as I'm concerned 9 times out of 10 it's just wank factor.
  18. The Hyper 212 would be the best value solution, you should be able to push some good speeds with this. I wouldn't go any more than a H80i as far as water cooling goes. It's only an FX6300! Anything is an improvement over the stock cooler anyway.... they're hot and noisy.
  19. As above. If you have any issues with Windows activation, give Microsoft a call and explain the situation. I'd recommend a fresh installation of Windows with a new motherboard anyway. That way you can start fresh, without potential driver issues.
  20. I don't like the surface of the control version. Speed is the best all rounder. I use a 'speed' surface and 75% of the time I'm not gaming. It feels just like any other mousepad.
  21. The Deathadder is a brilliant mouse. It sells extremely well and you really cannot go wrong. I believe it's the best value mouse on the market, just ahead of the Logitech G502.
  22. It sounds like you need to map the drive. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/create-shortcut-map-network-drive#1TC=windows-7 Try this.
  23. TP-Link have a great range of AC modems for very good prices. Best value units on the market.
  24. A decent 550W power supply would do you fine. I use an XFX TS-550 in my system. It's quiet, efficient and reliable (touch wood!).
