  1. Maybe, that case is available in my country and I can do a push pull config on the rad if it's front mounted there. That should provide the neccesary cooling.
  2. There are two big openings at the top and under the front panel so plenty of air is getting to the fans. Maybe I need better fans to get the air through the rad a bit more.
  3. I only did the GPU cause the CPU doesn't stress all that much during gaming. 1800x Also I did notice though that during my experiments with the side panels off the CPU temps actually got a bit higher.
  4. Done some Furmark experimenting. Removed glass side panel and front panel and it actually made very little difference UNLESS I cranked up the radiator fans to 100% otherwise the temperature difference was only 3°C at most.
  5. I found the airflow to be perfectly fine when I had two Noctua fans at the front and an air cooler.
  6. OK so I have the S340 Elite case with the Kraken X62 Cpu cooler front mounted with the stock NZXT fans. That's the only intake into the case. I've been noticing that ever since I put in the radiator that the temps on my Strix 1080Ti can get really high when under 100% load causing it to throttle from 1900+ Mhz down to 1600+ Mhz, or basically stock speed. The reason I chose this case was it is a fairly compact but easy to work in ATX case and space is limited on my desk, I have the S340 Elite against the wall with the window facing out obviously. I love how the Kraken fits perfectly at the front but it has sacrificed some airflow. So I'm wondering the H700i is a bit larger but should fit on my desk and by the looks of things the x62 should fit beautifully at the top of the case and fans at the front to provide intake into the case. Should I go for that one and sell the Elite?
  7. Oh I completely missed that link. Could have been made more obvious lol. But OK good I'll order it then
  8. Looking at getting a high end Seasonic PSU and since I have a 20% discount code from Cablemods I figure I should get some custom cables as well. They only have this for full cable kits https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-se-series-xp2-xp3-km3-fl2-cable-kit/ Will this work with the PRIME Platinum 850W?
  9. Ehh...depends on what's happening but it's usually around 45-60% in this particular game. I've been looking at other threads about this issue since I first posted and I think it's just poor optimzation.
  10. Hmm so Ubisoft strikes again. I was having similar issues with Watch Dogs too recently
  11. Using an performance overlay I noticed the CPU is only at around 30% at most. GPU at 60ish
  12. Never played Far Cry 4 before and decided on trying it before the new one comes out. My setup is 1440p (144-165hz), R7 1800x (3.9Ghz) and then 1080Ti so it's a very high end system, some would argue that the CPU isn't up to much when it comes to gaming but BIOS updates and optimizations have really fixed that problem. But I'm wondering could the CPU be bottlenecking a bit here? Whenever a new objective loads or when the game play restarts after a cut scene the FPS drops to 30 from 80-100 and occasional stutters in combat. Lowering the settings from Very High (custom with most things at very high, few on ultra) to Low or Medium does nothing. Could the 1800x really be bottlenecking on older games? COD:WW2 is running at 130-160 FPS on highest settings.
  13. Yeah I'll be using an existing cable so that's no issue.
  14. So I'm getting the V550 from Amazon cause I need flat cables for a build and I've heard good things. However I want to make sure that it'll work in Europe too, I noticed on the Amazon site it said Volts: 120 but then lower down it said 110-240 volts. What is correct? I have fried old PSUs before (for fun actually) by flipping the switch that was on the back of older PSUs but I dont want to have that happen with expensive PC parts inside. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0185C5VJ4/?tag=pcpapi-20 I checked the Q&A on there and towards the end there were questions about this very thing and it seems to be OK however there is this discrepancy on the site.
  15. Ugh...none of the fixes in that thread seem to be working.
  16. and no I dont have that enabled. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and a fresh install of the game itself and the problem persists.
  17. I have not been able to find reports of other people having it happen right at that moment. There are numerous reports of it happening in various places.
  18. So I've been playing the newest Wolfenstein lately and loving it. Such a smooth running game at even highest settings. However, yesterday all of a sudden the game crashed and came up with the error "Could not write crash dump" and has been doing that at the very same spot. I reverted back to an older save and it runs fine right up until that moment. I've tried various solutions I've found on Google and nothing has worked so far. Next up is rolling back to an older Nvidia driver.
  19. Hmm empty spots don't sound too good. What about the fans people are using for their custom EK loops? The Vardar? Amazing air flow but it might be noisy right.
  20. I recently bought the NZXT Kraken x62 AIO and I'm fairly happy with it but I don't feel like the fans that came with it are good enough, they get loud and I just don't think they have enough pressure to get air through the rad at a decent rate. So I'm looking for replacements. I have the S340 Elite, not the best airflow case but there are two very large cut outs on the top and bottom of the front panel so plenty of air does get in where the two intake rad fans are. Then I have two Noctua fans, 140mm at the top and 120 at the rear both exhausting air out from the case. But what I need to know is what fans are good (and quiet) for radiators like the one on the x62? Been looking at replacing all my fans with the Silent Wings 3 but not sure if they're good enough.
  21. Well a 15 minute OCCT Large Data Set didn't do anything weird.
  22. Running one now. I used to get crashed almost immediatly on that test with my i5 when everything else seemed to pass. I'll let it run for a little bit and see what happens.
  23. Not 100% certain but I haven't had a crash or anything weird happening so far.
