Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and pc building generally, but I'm just about finished up with my first build. I wanted something unique so I've put a lot of time into making my rig one of a kind. Many of my ideas were taken from posts on here so thank you guys for being a resource! I will post my specs after I finish up making the last few mods and changes that are currently in process. The rig is currently deconstructed while i finish all that up, but for now here is a pic from last week.

For pure raw power your money is better spent on a desktop but since you want a gaming laptop I would go with the aorus x5.

Big f*cking nail in the wall.
Then use some cloth and duct-tape around the nail.
Cost? 50 cent yo.

Literally impossible for us to say. I highly HIGHLY do not recommend cracked Windows ISO's. Who knows what's been slipstreamed into Windows? What's been cracked? What security may or may not be compromised.
One of the DVD's may be an older cracked copy that simply lacks the SATA drivers your motherboard needs, while the 2nd one is a newer copy. Or perhaps one is a custom ISO with SATA drivers removed on purpose.
There is absolutely no way for us to know for certain.

jonathanwu607 reacted to LogicalDrm in Difference between UEFI and Legacy Bios Mode?
I just have to add this example that I read, made by @GoodBytes:
Legacy:
BIOS> OK! We are booting up. Are RAM present? Good. Drives? Good. Do we have PCI stuff? Oh, a GPU. Good....
...After while...
BIOS> Everyone is ready! Lets go!
UEFI:
BIOS> Is everybody here? Good! Lets go!

jonathanwu607 reacted to NeatSquidYT in Ultrawide monitor- do i have enough graphics horsepower?
I do see that, but ultrawide usually means more pixels. 16:9 forced on 21:9 would look horrible

jonathanwu607 got a reaction from NeatSquidYT in Ultrawide monitor- do i have enough graphics horsepower?
apologies if any confusion caused. what i meant was it's the extra pixels that will affect performance, not by the monitor being wider.
(so say if there were two monitor with same res but one being extrawide, the result would still be the same)
but i guess extrawide monitors usually have a little more in horizontal pixels.... so my bad...

jonathanwu607 got a reaction from User1868 in M.2 vs SSD
Not entirely correct.
M.2 is referring to the form factor. The performance is determined by whether it's a PCIe M.2 SSD or a SATA3 M.2 SSD.
The former is faster and more expensive; the latter being the same as a mSATA SSD or a 2.5" SSD you're familiar with.
(PCIe SSD also comes in PCIe x1, x2, x4 though...)
