They're specifically designed hardware They still out perform a PC of the same cost, if you include the price of windows and case.

    This is a shitpost btw.

Daftworks reacted to don_svetlio in Nvidia to Discontinue 2GB Versions of the Geforce GTX 960 – 4GB Version Better Suited to Deal with the R9 380
I can't exactly recall the formula used to calculate bandwidth but it plays a major role - the 4096-bit bus is the sole reason the Fury X is as good as a TitanX/980 Ti or better @ 4K and why it's the go-to GPU for VR. The larger buss means more speed, means less latency, means less lag/stutter when swapping out textures are your memory is maxed. So the 128-bit bus on the 960 is a major limitation and when you attempt to swap out large and multiple files to and from it you get to experience it.
On a side note: RiP 960. Seriously - with that card you pay more for software than hardware. Once Pascal drops - the 960 will suddenly become less than the current stock 950 as driver optimization slow down and eventually stop as a whole so that Nvidia can sell their new shinies.

And yet have you actually used the card to know? No, you probably haven't.

I have had two GTX 960 Gaming G1 4GBs for a couple of weeks now, one since July. I have played games where I saw good performance and up to 4GB VRAM usage, including GTA V. I plan to test it more, but from what I've been doing so far, the card's "mathematically incapable of utilizing more than just over 2gbs of vram" 128-bit bus has been working perfectly fine.

But then again, what do I know? I'll probably just be called a shill.

Are you getting a Titan X just so you can say you have one? A 980ti or Fury X would be a much better choice.

As nice as colour schemes are, I would focus on getting the best performance first, and worry about colours second

a 970 would be a better option, or a 390 or something would be a good idea too

Dont forget, 2gb Vram is limiting, SLI is not supported in all games and can introduce other issues,
While 2x960s might beat a 970 etc in some benchmarks, in real world it doenst make sense, frankly SLI to me is for people with big budgets, or for a mid way upgrade 1 year down the line
like my rig is getting old with my 780ti, but I could pick one up cheap now to make my build last longer

IMO never start a build planning mid range SLI, its not the best

Yeah but the heat produced from a spinning fan is so insignificant to heat up a room, its negligible.

The real reason why the room wouldn't be colder is that fans don't cool down the air, they just circulate it around.

Daftworks reacted to Ertman in Tomb Raider Series Reboot Needs Boob Physics Yes or No?
Fine, but you quoted Dead or Alive 5 as an example of the physics you were talking about, and the clear emphasis is on sexualizing the characters. I get that this may not be your intended point, but it does affect it. But ask yourself this. Is it necessary? Will it affect you enjoyment of the game or affect the portrayal that she is a human female? I doubt that this is truly the case, but if it is, then you just want eye candy and the sexualization. They have not dehumanized her, they have only humanized here further.  Jiggles =/= humanity.

Do you complain about male portrayals in games and their abilities in the same light? I highly doubt that.

Would boob physics be appropriate, actually yes, but that is far down the list of physics needing to be added/improved in the game. Heck the added hair physics plays far more into the realism then boob physics ever could. If you need the jiggle, Dead or Alive is always there to entertain you.
