Have you ever washed them? They're still cloths. If they become dirty, they will not longer clean.

Every once in a while you should wash them - most of them can go into a washing machine load without much trouble.
I haven't done the research, but I would assume that yes, there are better and lower quality cloths to choose from. You can get some really nice microfiber cloths if you shop in the hardware or automotive section of a Hardware Store or Department Store.

Yes. It depends in the fiber width, material, density and manufacturing method.

Grease from your face and hands. Just wash it up with soap.

Have you actually used Brown switches? All the Browns I've tried (Cherry, Outemu) felt like scratchy Reds, the bump was not noticeable during regular use.

I looked options for you on Amazon Australia because I assume that's more convenient for you.

Out of the keyboards I've linked, I have the most experience with the SK61. It's a really good budget board: The stabilizers are alright (mine came factory lubed decently, but I still recommend that you do it on your own), and you can hotswap switches. Its software is horrible though; thankfully, it's optional.

Sure, ESD can be a threat to PC components, but a lot of parts these days are made to be much more resistant than their predecessors a decade ago that the risk is much lower now.

I've done a few builds while moving around on carpet and nothing bad happened. I just made sure to touch a plugged in (but off) PSU, or the case (I install the PSU first for grounding) every few minutes.

I ran into this problem (from Alberta), I ended up ordering from amazon.com and having it shipped to Canada. I went with g205, it was about $15 USD, but the price was doubled with shipping and import fees. It arrived over a month after the rest of my parts, so I couldn't build it for a while. My grandparents had given me an American amazon gift card (why I chose this route) but the HUGE shipping time and fees and lack of selection sucks. If I were to do this again, I would go through one of the vendors @geo3or @DailyProcrastinatorrecomended.

Edit: my order from KBDFans arrived in about a week from china, even after going through Customs. The lube sat in a warehouse for a month and a half and then shipped in about a week. Shows the level of care you get with a smaller company VS amazon.

Gale got a reaction from sub68 in sony killing off ps4
Even if Sony were to kill the PlayStation Store and online support for the PS4 next year, it would still be a good, cost-effective gaming machine if you buy it second hand. But I highly doubt they are going to do that soon. The PS Vita has been on life support for a very long time now and it's still going fine. Sony was going to kill its PlayStation Store (along with the PS3's) this year, but after the backlash they received from the community, they left it alone.

If anything, they'll pull the plug for PS3 and Vita before even thinking about touching the PS4.

Linus also mentioned recently on stream that the only reason they could afford VAG was because of all the revenue from lttstore.com, which sounds like it's an even bigger slice of their revenue this year.
I can see why too, so far the quality of the merch is top notch, the desk mat is super nice, way nicer then any other mouse mat I've ever had.

Amazon is actually a decent option when it comes to budget keycaps, but they are usually fairly limited in their variety. Your local Amazon website might have some AZERTY sets.

WASD Keyboards sells custom keycap sets; you can customize the colors, legends, etc. But obviously, they are more expensive. CandyKeys is a EU-based website, but they are also on the premium side. There are way more options, I'm sure others will give you better options. 😄

When it comes to the kind of keycaps, that's a deep rabbit hole of its own. Material (PBT vs ABS), profile (uniform vs sculpted), etc. I personally prefer PBT mainly because they do not attract finger oil as easily as ABS. I think that's a good beginning point for someone who's starting out.

I own an Xbox Series controller that I use with my PC. It does have issues right out the box (mainly random disconnections while gaming), but I managed to fix them. Download the Xbox Accessories app from the Windows Store, plug in your controller to your PC (I think you can use a wireless/bluetooth connection, but I'm not sure) and update the firmware.

Ever since I did that update, I've had zero problems.

How pure do you need to get? I've ran furnace filters taped to a box fan to keep dust bunnies at bay, works decently well if you do two filters per box fan with some cardboard triangles.
