  1. For the time being, I'm gonna trust PIA. It'd be a bad move on Kape's part if they betray us because PIA has a reputation for being pro-privacy. And besides, I still got 3 years.
  2. I can see future games requiring more storage from us I almost maxed out my 4TB HDD because of Videos alone, and my 2TB HDD is filled halfway already. 500GB 860 Evo is maxed out from games, and 1TB 860QVO is halfway. Gonna need to replace that 2TB with a 4TB HDD when I saved up enough.
  3. Zorin tends to mimic both Windows XP and 7 layout and style. If you wanna try something a little different, try Kubuntu. Though I suggest looking up audio passthrough since I don't have experience with that one
  4. If you're not playing the game anymore, you might as well sell them, and earn a few bucks along the way. This is just a thought, but one way they can make sure this won't affect the devs too much (and maybe make them happy) is by making the game can be transferable once, and the platform can put a max price the user can sell the game for (maybe 5-30% of the current price).
  5. I should be fine if I use a Kodi server, right? Changed it as you suggested. My brother was using a 750W semi-modular 80+ Bronze when he owned it. Better safe than sorry. And I'm definitely gonna underclock this. And I know that I don't have a cooler yet. Gonna ask him when he wakes up. Edit: it was Hyper 212 Evo
  6. I wanted to go fully modular, and I guess I could always go for 80+ Bronze. What about future expansion? I'm thinking of going go for mirrored VDev, but if I were to get more storage, I was thinking of switching to RAIDZ. Is that possible? would it be possible to add more drives to the existing logical volume?
  7. So here's the parts list I was thinking of using. The older parts that don't have prices on them are the ones I bought from my brother after he upgraded his PC. What else can be changed to lower the price (though I prefer to stick to a WD Red or some other NAS drive)?
  8. Hopefully Valve changes their mind, now that Ubuntu backtracked a bit. Kinda hope that'll be the case. And hopefully we'll get a solution that'll allow Linux distros to finally drop i386 as a supported architecture while still allow us to use legacy software without too much setting up on the user's end.
  9. Really hope we'll get more app stores or game stores that won't depend on Google Play at all.
  10. I was happy & relieved that they changed their minds. Ubuntu is, after all, aimed for the general Linux user who doesn't like to tinker too much with the system. Until there's a true be all & end all solution to that problem, those libraries need to exist in there. The general user shouldn't have to jump so many hoops just to do their thing. this is something that should've been done since 18.04 or whenever the last time an i386 Ubuntu flavor has been released. There's no point in having an i386 version of Firefox, VLC, Plasma, etc.
  11. My desktop has a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB and since my Intel GPU is not being used at all, is it possible to use my iGPU for virtualization? I'm planning on setting up a Windows 10 VM using QEMU (or using my already-setup Windows 10 VM in VirtualBox).
  12. So what's the point of the Steam app now? It isn't as heavy as Facebook, so separating Steam chat from the app is pointless. There's also Discord, so I guess it's even more pointless.
  13. Aptoide needs to solve their problem where they show an older version of some apps as the latest version.
  14. A semi-rolling would be like KDE Neon, where the desktop environment & other KDE software are rolling, while the base itself (Ubuntu) is on an LTS.
