You're just nitpicking at this point. Project Farms did an amazing job (as always) testing the products and gave an unbiased opinion on the products. He did the review and had it scheduled to go live at his normal time for his videos to go live. He probably doesn't keep up with youtube drama so he didn't bother holding off on the video.

HR is there to help employees with basic help. Like filing tax papers (like a W-4 for those in the US) or payroll issues. HR is there mostly to protect the company. At least in the US. I can't speak for Canadians. But all this back and forth going on about HR, you all don't know anything. Reading these posts, it's like reading stuff from kids and teens that have no adult experience, no real life work experience. HR will side with the company unless there is damning evidence like video with audio (good luck with that).

I honestly don't buy what Madison is trying to sell. She was in over her head and didn't have the mental fortitude to deal with it. Not everyone is cutout to work in the field that is LMG. And that fine. But putting the blame on LMG isn't. She didn't like the immature jokes that people say in the work place. Ok, use your voice and tell the people saying it. Every job, every work place has the same BS. And the thing is, you have to be an adult. It's ok to tell someone that you don't like what they're saying. It's ok to tell someone you don't like how they're talking to you. I've told people I work with, both peers and management, to either not talk to me in a disrespectful way or to not say whatever jokes they were saying around me. I did this in a respectful and adult way and they respected my words and stopped. And you know what? Our working relationship was just fine and sometimes was strengthened. Just be an adult.

As for the sexual harassment, I don't want to dismiss her clams but I honestly believe she is misreading the situation or making something out of nothing. I work with a female coworker who has abused the systems we have in place at my work. She has clamed that people are sexually starring at her because they are facing in her direction. They have to because their work station faces that way. She has clamed sexual harassment because a supervisor confronted her about some legitimate issues about her work performance. She has pulled some BS work place injury to get out of work. She is mentally a mess because she can't handle the job and she doesn't have the mental fortitude to deal with it. Reading the Madison posts, she reminds me of this coworker of mine.

People just need to be adults in the work place. Use your voice and stop expecting others to hold your hand like mommy and daddy. Honestly parents now a days fail so hard with their kids. A little tough love goes a long way. My 13 year old daughter refuses to order food when we go to a restaurant, she doesn't get food. Stop holding your kids hand through life. Anyway sorry for the rant. All you kids and teens posting here acting like you know best made me rant

He is probably being polite as he knows Luke has been working hard with diet and exercise for a while now. I never offer unhealthy food to someone I know has been trying to keep a strict diet. Years ago I was doing a healthy diet and wasn't touching chips, candy, ice cream, all that type of stuff. My friends knew and they didn't offer me that stuff when we were hanging out.

It's a whole system designed around planned obsolescence. I mean, take a look at the Instant Pot, which was such a good product that the parent company declared bankruptcy because they didn't have many repeat customers. Our current systems punish a company for making a product "too good" so-to-speak.

I never denied her claims . Not once . I choose not to take sides because doing so isn't productive . Then again i am not the one clipping a out bits of a post , because of a predetermined judgement of guilt , because someone made a claim and a need to justify it a stance you took .

SO if you don't mind i will reserve judgement until there is proof .

Time will tell . I have seen a few statements about the video form the LMG team in other articles . They wanted to get across a message of THE FUN WONT GO AWAY in their videos . However they wanted to get across that they were serious about making changes . I do think the video they made was a bad way to put it . That said they seem to be sticking to their guns for now .
Its all i am asking people to do here is not place guilt on anyone until there is proof . However there are those who just presume guilt without any knowledge of any evidence .  The ones mentioning what maddisons says lines up are not actually saying that . They are saying what she is accusing staff at LMG of lines up with what she told them in conversations a couple of years ago .They didn't witness so what they know is hearsay since their only source was maddison . Anything that is been said is nothing more than pure speculation at the moment .

LMG controversy and the timing doesnt matter to me . Its not necessarily a read flag . A company that rakes in what LMG does can seem like an insurmountable obstacle . Maybe she felt it was the only time she could say anything .  So i wouldn't necessarily call it a red flag .

I just want to add. After you get it clean, try not to use other liquids in the water bottle. I've made it a habit to have a designated bottle just for water. Only filtered water goes in this bottle and it only gets hand washed. It will last a lot longer and the water will always taste fresh. Anyway that's just how I do it. I highly recommend it.

in fact yes he does usualy reach out and he did in the cases of newegg, corsair and asus all three of which did alot worse things that the things linus did. does this mean that we should ignore what happened NO. what LMG did was wrong and i'm glad it was brought to the attention of the people  but people forget one important fact. LMG and GamersNexus are rival companys, yeah thats right RIVALS they both want us to come to THEIR channels to watch vidios so they can make money. that fact alone should make you question gamersnexus's motives
if you watch gamers nexus you know he's always fair and unbias in his vidios all exept the first one he did on this shit show.

firstly about the whole moneytization of the first vidio why didnt he moneytize it he didnt bother no making money when it was corsair who had exploding power supplys which is a much worse thing that any of the things linus has done. or was it a first dig a LMG and the whole running joke about "heres a segwe to our sponser" maybe thats why the LMG team did that whole "joke" at the beginning of thier vidio.... who knows because i dont but it should MAKE YOUR THINK

he also usualy reaches out to companys for comment just like every other journalist which is will remind you is something steve says he is even in that vidio and yet no reaching out for comment from the other side. that makes he first vidio a 1 sided pile of crap which is full of HIS opinions presented as fact. which is why wheather your watching MSNBC,CNN,BBC,FOX or any of the other major news organisations they ALWAYS reach out for comment and then comment on that comment if they think it's a pile of crap.

then in the "news" vidio after linus comments he spends 12 mins of a 26 min vidio talking about how bad the response from linus was when he in fact was doing the same thing reaching emotionaly to people criticizing him. may i remind you the offical response from linus was about 3 paragraphes and takes less that a min to read and yeah he spent 12 mins on it?

and since the "news" vidio what has gamersnexus done they released a vidio which was basicaly a look at us we are so much better at this than linus because we are "revolutionizing GPU and CPU benchmarking" how selfserving is that.

now all that siad i have been watching gamersnexus for years and i will keep watching them because i do trust them in most cases even if i'm not so sure of them in this one and over all i think they try and do the right thing but you know what i can say the same thing about LMG.

The review was made exactly in the same manner as the review for the normal screwdriver and as Project Farm always states at the end of the video, this review as well, was viewer suggested. Project Farm releases videos every Sunday. Given that the stubby was supposed to release on the 17th, the review was scheduled to be released on the 20th. Like with the normal screwdriver, it was put on sale (pre-order) on the 30th of August 2022 and Project Farm's review came on the 4th of September. The only thing that did not coincide now, was the release of the screwdriver, for obvious reasons. In my opinion, I don't believe that Project Farm should have postponed releasing the review. The testing methodology, data collection, etc are pretty solid. To me, personally, it does not seem like a promotional video or an endorsement video for LTT and/or (one of) their products.

I'm not sure.  Her actions seem more chaotic and vengeful (which I can understand if her previous attempts to resolve with LTT fell on deaf ears).

Rather than subjecting herself to the court of public opinion she could have gone through an employment dispute mediation, union support, or other community support processes.  (I'm not based in Canada some I'm assuming there's something like this). Failing that there are other legal options that would have reduced the public exposure for herself and LTT.

Responding to your overall comment, rather than the quote above...

With an element of giving the benefit of the doubt, I get that GN intended their video to be constructive criticism. But a few things seem off to me with how GN handled the situation:

    1.  Going public (straight away?).  If the channels really are friends and amicable then wouldn't this have been dealt with better behind closed doors?  Have a chat on the phone, ring Linus, outline the concerns, etc.  Reach an agreement then perhaps release a video together summarizing the discussion, methodological errors, and the way forward.
    2.  Click baiting LTT viewers to the GN channel makes it seem like the goal is to expand, or even steal, the audience.  Even if that one video isn't monetized it looks like one goal of it is direct and aggressive competition with LTT.  An alternative would be to release a video discussing generalized review methodologies and perhaps use examples from multiple YouTube channels, rather than a hit piece singling out one in particular.

Overall, there's more to this than meets the eye.

It's profiting off of drama though, which they "said that's not the intention". But keep defending them.

Also, the likelihood that the new viewers were viewers from the first video makes it so that NOW they're profiting off of them. But keep saying how one is an angel and the other is hell's spawn.
