  1. I noticed this red tinge the second I turned the monitor on out of the box and I have yet to find a setting that gets rid of the issue, even resetting to factory defaults.
  2. As mentioned above and shown below, anytime there is white text or objects on a dark grey or black background the red sub-pixels on the left side of the text/object are turned on and produces an abhorred red tinge that really makes reading on this monitor a very unpleasant thing to do. I haven't noticed it in game so it's not a deal breaker for this monitor, but it does annoy the hell out of me when reading smaller text. It's almost like looking at red-cyan 3D content but there is no cyan, just the correct image and the red to the left side. Does anyone else experience this on their monitor(s) and is there a way to alleviate it to some degree, if not completely? (Blue/green tinge in first picture is just an artifact of my camera and is not visible to my eyes)
  3. Ultimately, like you suggested, it is up to you how you spend your time. For example, my brother and I have very different routines in everyday life: He is constantly out of the house with friends if he isn't at work, rarely spending time at his PC. I, on the other hand, spend much less time out and more time doing some sort of activity on my PC/digital devices; whether it's gaming, media consumption, or just chatting with online friends. I would say we both have equally successful lives, although we spend our time in much different ways. You should spend as much time as you see fit and most enjoyable to you, without taking away from other aspects of your life, such as family/friends. Without knowing you personally, I don't think I could suggest any more than just saying don't waste all of your time at your computer.
  4. As stated above, enabling my 9600K's integrated graphics seems to prevent Windows 10 from getting past the loading/boot screen. Windows boots regularly with it disabled, though. As an aside, I recently upgraded from an i3-8100, of which I could enable the iGPU just fine and use in Windows. After the upgrade, I tried to enable integrated graphics in the BIOS with no success of booting windows. Is there any troubleshooting I could do in addition to what I've done? (see steps I've taken already and system specs below) I'm not sure of any other way to fix it other than a reinstall of Windows 10, assuming something in Windows is the problem. Specs: Steps taken so far: BIOS updated to F16c (Latest from GIGABYTE) Display connected to both discrete(DP) / MB(HDMI) ports Attempt to download and install drivers from Intel for iGPU, but unable to install because iGPU isn't not detected by installer, understandably because it's disabled in BIOS If you have any questions about what I have or haven't done, I'll be glad to answer them. If you have any advice on what I should do next, please let me know, I haven't found any other information on this problem on my search of a solution.
  5. Varpin, that was my initial plan but I wanted to double check on here, I'll probably get faster ram and better storage sooner than upgrading the main components like the CPU and motherboard. Cookybiscuit, I'm not looking to play any demanding VR games, just the cheesy ones like VR Chat and the such for a start. When I start to buy other things like a racing wheel, I'll also invest in better hardware (like what you mentioned) for more intensive games.
  6. Hello everyone, I recently got a new job and will finally be able to earn money for a new computer. Current Specifications: Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 RAM 8.0 GB Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 16299), 64-bit Other 450 watt Rosewill PSU 1-TB 7200rpm HDD I'm definitely going to get a GTX 1060 or above, but should I upgrade everything else along with it or would it be not worth it? If I should upgrade everything, what components do y'all recommend? My budget is sub-$1000 and preferably under $800, but if it's worth it I'll settle for up to a grand. What do you guys think? -Chris (Just realized that there is a "New Build" section, if this should be moved there, I'd appreciate it)

  8. So i noticed this little artifact while taking pictures of a flashlight pointing into the camera. What exactly is this and what causes it?
  9. I like the looks of those V-MODA's, thanks for your reply so quickly!
  10. I'm looking for headphones that have lots of bass, but I don't want the mids and highs to be muddy, I'd rather them be closed back, very comfortable, and ~$75 US. I listen to rap and dubstep mostly, but may listen to other, non-bass heavy music as well. Any suggestions?
  11. So I recently reset my computer from 10 back to 7 because it wouldn't activate. After I did so, the computer wouldn't boot from my drive saying winload.exe was corrupted or missing. This was after plugging in my new ssd, And I already factory reset it. Now it says the computer was configured incorrectly after partly setting up. Any ideas? I recently put my old vcard, psu, and hard drive in a new computer, and I was trying to boot off of the one I put into it.
  12. Would the AMD cpu perform better if I OC'ed it? Better yet, what's the best cpu to get under $175?
