Viper9 got a reaction from nick_Nachu in How do I transfer data from an Internal M.2 SATA SSD to another?
If you don't want to reinstall Windows, the easiest way would be to use an M.2 enclosure and a cloning software like Acronis or Macrium Reflect.

Hmm, not sure if you read his post. Why would he need to bypass it?

Viper9 got a reaction from Darkwing Drex in Need Help With New SSD
The best way to do it would be to backup your files, clean install Windows on your SSD and format your hard drive.
But if you really want to clone your drive you can use this tool: Macrium Software | Reflect Free Edition

Viper9 reacted to ArcX in Is there a motherboard with 2 argb fan headers at a $100-$150 price?
Thanks

Viper9 reacted to VivienMatthews in New PC build for animation and coding
thanks for the tip, I think this is an awesome monitor for the price. Right now there is a deal on it at one of the retailers in my country and I could get it for 290€ instead of 360€.
Thanks 😊

Viper9 got a reaction from BTGbullseye in 3080 Lotto with 4790k
I'm pretty sure your CPU will bottleneck the RTX 3080, I would upgrade to a Ryzen 5600X or 5800X.

Viper9 got a reaction from danny31324 in So my motherboard only has 2 fan connections and I need to use 4.
That's the main reason why usually they're louder, but some of them have a slider that you can adjust to reduce the speed/noise.

Since you're using it for content creation and I guess you don't wanna spend a 1000$ on an expensive 4K display this one would be a good choice IMO.
Asus ProArt Display PA278QV

If you can wait until the RTX 3070 is back in stock it would be awesome paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X (or wait for the 5600 and save some money).

Do you have some kind of QOS setting enabled? Or maybe the port speed is set to 10Mbps?

Viper9 got a reaction from Gray The Alien in Transfering RAID
A software like Acronis Cyber Backup could be what you're looking for because you can clone to different hardware with it.
So on the new server setup your RAID 10 first, and then try to clone your old to server to the new one.

Viper9 got a reaction from BTGbullseye in My friends Pc Keeps Crashing :(
1. Try to reset everything to default in your UEFI/BIOS (XMP turned off).
2. Reinstall Windows 10
3. Get the GPU and chipset drivers from AMD's website and the rest from ASRock website (sound, NIC etc).
4. Do all the Windows Updates
5. Run Prime95 with HWMonitor for a couple of hours.
If the temps are good and nothing crash, enable XMP and try again. If it still works, looks like it was a software issue. In that case, reinstall your games and applications one by one and test the PC, if it crash at least you'll know what's causing the issue.

Viper9 got a reaction from Senzelian in New phone suggestions?
If you want "a long software support" and good battery life the Google Pixel would be the best choice IMO.
So either the Google Pixel 5 or the Google Pixel 4a (5G) would be my suggestion.
You can compare the devices here: https://store.google.com/us/magazine/compare_pixel

You said you can't even see the M.2 SSD in the BIOS right? I would try unplugging the HDD first.

Viper9 reacted to AndrewZScorpion in Do you need b550 or x570 for rtx 3000?
I’d be more concerned about the 3200g being a bottleneck than PCIe 3.0

Nobody knows until the benchmarks are released.

Viper9 got a reaction from dalekphalm in Modest CAD workstation buy vs build help
You can download the studio drivers instead of the game ready one on Nvidia's website.
You can go with a Quadro instead since they're validated for workstation software, but if you want the same performance has an RTX 2080 Super, you'll spend more money on the Quadro.
