  1. Practice swiveling - i.e. physically tracking your subject in motion, while you are taking pics simultaneously. Since you have a 550D you can just burst your way through a series of photos and review results immediately. Most sports photographers - especially for motorsports - are (and need to be) proficient at it. Not only will you be a better photographer because of it, but your backgrounds will be blurred with almost any settings.
  2. The Talos Principle fits this bill perfectly.
  3. There are sooo many brilliant composers for games these days. Off the top of my head: Dead Space series - Jason Graves. Bioshock series - Garry Schyman.
  4. I'm using openoffice until 365 deal kicks in at work.
  5. Recently got my 34'' 21:9 screen and am now drooling even more over my games. Far Cry 4: Alien: Isolation: The Long Dark: Mass Effect 3 - with obligatory night club dancers shot:
  6. My girlfriends sister is in the same situation, and I think you should go bigger, as in 60'' or above. Depending on your room configuration, I'd even consider doing a projector setup instead.
  7. I highly recommend the Dell, but I have no experience with the other two. The colour is fantastic, you can customize your workspace and much more. I haven't started taking advantage of the display manager software yet, but I've read that it's pretty nifty for creating custom profiles. It looks fantastic, and the ergonomics is great compared to the other two as far as I can tell. For me, the Dell stand makes a lot of difference. OSD is easy to navigate. I was planning to write a more complete review (or do a youtube review) when I had used it for a month or so, but I'm not sure if I will. If I were you, I'd spend some time reading and watching every review and unpacking/stream/whatever you can find on the intarwebs before you decide, since you can't see the monitors in person. I think that the curve is absolutely amazing, but as @ShadowCaptain states, it's very much a matter of personal preference I think. Imo, the curvature really compliments the size.

  9. Well, that's a discussion for another thread (which I will post elsewhere), but nonetheless, I got an Evga 980 and a 4790k. And thanks dude. Edit: Do take advice from the other threads on building your own here -and do take advice on what games to purchase (always with a grain of salt of course). I'm certainly not the most knowledgable when it comes to new builds - or new games.
  10. I'm so following this thread. I just recently finished my own build too, and had been thinking about posting a similar thread.
  11. Did Google remove the restrictions for moving files to SD in Lollipop then? On topic - I second ES file explorer.
  12. I just got mine today. There's no other word for it - it is simply stunning.
  13. No love for 21:9 - but then again, what should I have expected.
  14. They need a new research manager at Square Enix.
  15. Which way does your window face (by that I mean north, east, west, south)? It has influence on your natural light during the day, and so might affect your placement of both your TV and your computer desk. Then again, some curtains might just make that a non-issue. :-) For me personally, I don't like having TV's "boxed in" like in your bookcase - but this is very much a case of personal preference. Let us know how it goes!
  16. This is a game I must get. Soon.
  17. Even though the contest is over, I think the OP should have a thanks - hence this post. Thanks! It shows quite a good sense of community on here, that members give away keys and whatnot to each other.
  18. I'm not that into racing games, but I still want to wish you and your team good luck with the game, so good luck! I hope you guys get rich and famous and above all, have a crapload of fun!
