  1. +1 to OBS with QuickSync encoding.

We actually have a good guide thread here on LTT for it: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/358175-how-to-why-quicksync-and-open-broadcaster-software-picture-heavy/

I use QuickSync with my OBS setup and I have experienced ZERO performance issues, which is how it's supposed to work. I'd highly recommend doing QuickSync if you can getting it working OP.

Which OS are you running? Reason I'm asking, it seems that Win10 has issues with quicksync, I turned it off after upgrading my OS. I have the power in my rig to do x264 anyways, but it was still nice to have absolutely negligible performance degrading.

  2. OBS is by far the best, it works the best in my experience, supports live-streaming. native x264 support.

The only problem is that it only supports one audio stream, which is why I go for bandicam, where I can use one stream for mic (for audio sync with audacity) and another for speakers.

I heard dxtory was good but it costs money

    EDIT:

    i has tips and triks:

    1. I would recommend using windowed borderless gaming for ur games as it works pretty well for things such as live-streams so you can easily switch scenes/games without doing any configuring in OBS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that the multiplatform version of OBS supports several audio tracks?

On the other hand, I'm not so sure that it supports QuickSync (yet).

  3. How does your PC rank in terms of value to You personally? looking back was it a poor decision? or a perfect choice for Your day to day tasks or just an overkill?

Sorry but you are asking two different questions (and your answer options seems to come in a strange order).

Price to performance (as in the actual poll) and value to me personally (as in your question quoted here) are two very different things. :) That being said, I still want to give you my opinion if you're interested.

My price to performance, I'd rank as below average. I've bought some expensive stuff that I - strictly speaking - don't need, thereby lowering price/perfomance ratio (imo).

My PC value to me personally, is off the chart. I have the stuff I feel that I want in my rig at this point in time, with overkill crap that guests look at and say "wtf is that and wtf are you doing?". But I like it, and I take pride in what i have done with it.

Long answer I know. :P  I did vote as well - as best as I could with the options given.

  4. Are you using multi platform or the old one?

Some games cannot be capped unless you open OBS as an admin.

Some games need tweaking as stated above - try fullscreen, windowed borderless, also try capturing window, not game and vice versa.

    Also try different downscaling options.

I've had the same problems myself. Check the OBS forums, the black screen problem is widespread and the reason for it differs from user to user.

  5. I love space games, and it looks really nice.

I've been waiting on it to go on sale for a crazy low price lol

How are the flight stick options??

Does it let you bind yours set up or is it just presets?

Fully rebindable. I downloaded a binding profile some other guy made for the stick I have, put it in its folder, off you go.

  6. @Northmountain How is it? I've been eyeballing it, but I'm a cheap ass lol

I'm working on some witcher 3 shots in the desert and other areas that are one time visits.

As well as some 4k Tomb Raider 2013, 4k warframe, and 1440p Killing Floor with the new Nvidia Flex GameWorks, should be posting in the morning=)

Well, I'm just getting to grips with it, setting up the flight stick, and trying to getting the controls into my brain. I want the controls to be more of second nature to me before I get into the game proper, so I'm training at the moment.

I'll tell you this though, the graphics, sound design and music are nothing less than fantastic. As far as gameplay goes, can't answer that yet. But I'm a sucker for space games, so I'm cautiously hopeful.

  7. Piano version is miles better imo. What he was thinking of when he orchestrated that top version I don't know. The Remote Control/Zimmer style is so generic and boring, it makes me sad to listen to.

And Inon, hire a piano tuner. If you have a grand piano in your living room, then keep it tuned ffs.
