  1. Hi all, right now I am running a RX6600XT in a mesihilicious case (it has a PCIE 3.0 riser cable). Right now I have an issue with my computer as it is not able to even display anything even if I were to unplug the GPU and boot from the CPU on board graphics (I5 12600). Point to note is that my GPU has also had this issue before where it was not able to boot, but when I submitted it for warranty, they said that it was all working. My GPU also has tendency to cause issues shown on the images inserted, whereby weird lines and bars will suddenly show when using the computer. Would this be a PCIE riser cable issue or possibly a GPU issue? EDIT: PCIE 3.0 not 4.0 sorry
  2. It appears that that even when removed riser cable, the GPU is yet to be detected. AMD Radeon software also does not detect the GPU. Would this be possible call for a broken GPU?
  3. Yep, on it right now, rather challenging to disassemble the entire thing haha
  4. Hi all, have possible GPU damage and would like to verify it. Currently running the powercolor 6600xt. Previously before shutting down my computer, have chosen the update and shut down option. However after updating, there was no video output. Note that I am running SSUPD Meshlicious, hence the use of a PCIE 3.0 Riser cable Steps I tried troubleshooting: 1) unplugged my GPU PCIE riser cable from motherboard and plugged HDMI into the motherboard, hence using on board graphics, PC boots and everything works fine (RAM and components have been detected.) 2) repeatedly turning off and on my computer with the GPU connected. Only have successfully booted once and it immediately turned off upon booting (there were random pixels over the monitor) Attached is a video of whatever that happened when my PC managed to boot with the GPU connected. There are some white dots that are left behind when the pointer is moved. I am suspecting that this might be a GPU issue (or possibly the riser cable). Any help is appreciated. Thanks all! 5. Hi all, prior to this, I was using a GTX 1060 and have since changed to a new desktop running the RX6600XT. I am aware that for Nvidia, I was able to change such a settings through the Nvidia control panel. However after swapping to the AMD GPU, I have wanted to change the GPU used for wallpaper engine to be utilizing the IGPU instead of the discrete GPU to lighten the load. Is there any way to do that in AMD software? Have tried looking for solutions online but have not gotten any solid answers.
  6. Hi all, I have disassembled my joy con in attempt to swap the casing. However, The receiving part of the ribbon cable has come off and now I am not able to lock the ribbon cable in place. Is there any way to put back the plastic piece of the locking mechanism? Attached is the area of fault. The gray plastic piece is the locking mechanism of the ribbon cable.
  7. Hi, pardon me if this is not the correct sub to post, but I have been noticed that my password has been leaked. I used a common password through all my accounts (yeah I know it was a stupid move, but these accounts were created years ago before I know about security) and someone has access to this said password. What steps do I take from here? I have already changed most of my more important account passwords to individual unique passwords and many of these accounts that really matters have 2FA. Are there any additional steps that I should take? Adding on, someone also is using my email to create accounts, although this email they are using is not my primary email, rather it is an extra email I created years ago. Is this a call for any concern?
  8. Is that the way to do it? Have selected all the wallpaper engine tasks to integrated graphics
  9. Hi, I have decently high GPU usage and am wondering if there is any way to allocate tasks from my GPU to my CPU, seeing how it is being barely used (seen from resource manager). I was thinking of perhaps moving wallpaper engine tasks over to the CPU.
  10. Hi, issue is in the title. He needed to free storage space and he deleted the files through the file explorer tab (dragging and dropping the files from 'Program Files' to recycle bin) instead of using the in-built uninstall engines. Now he is unable to officially clear the files through the uninstall engine in windows. Is there any way to resolve this issue? All files that has been dragged and dropped into the recycle bin has already been emptied. Attached is the image of the error that shows when he tries to uninstall the files through the in-built uninstall engine.
  11. Yep, green works. I'm guessing its the internal CPU that is causing the problem
  12. Hi all, I have a Coolermaster Masterkeys pro L right now and it has lasted me 3 years thus far (out of the warranty period). When I booted up my computer, I realized that one of the key (Numpad 7) RGB color was off, it is not synched with the other keys. Attached is a video of what is going on with my keyboard right now. Is there way to rectify this, especially since my keyboard is right now out of warranty? Video Description: Profile 4: The pink color is not matched with the other pinks surrounding the Numpad 7 key Profile 1 & 2: The color is not even synched once I switched the profile. Starts off with a jittery orange color Profile 3: The white is not that white I have tried to tweaked the settings in the Cooler Master software but to no avail. I assume it is a problem related to the onboard CPU of the keyboard, and yes I have tried plugging the keyboard in and out. Is there any ways to fix this? Edit 1: added the video VID_20191219_214055.mp4
  13. Hi, does anyone know of any device that will allow me to plug both headphones and speakers in, but audio output able to switch between the headphones or speakers? It is currently quite frustrating to keep unplugging and replugging my headphones and speakers whenever I change between them Edit 1: Thanks for all the amazing solutions, but i currently own a laptop, is there any solutions for that?
  14. Hi, I decided to factory reset my computer as it was running too slow. However after the reset, I havs been stuck at the 'Other Users' login page and is unable to log in. How do I bypass this page and go straight to the homescreen?
  15. Was using GPU for GPU intensive tasks before this happened. I overclocked it to a stable 1523Mhz and the temps were quite fine around 67 degrees. However, the GPU suddenly decided to idle at 135Mhz. Any idea how to solve this?
  16. Hi, I currently have a GTX 970 OC to 1543MHZ with temps of 67 degrees Celsius. I am currently mining Monero under the pool minergate and i am getting hash rates of within the 400 range. Assuming I solo mine, how often will I be able to look for a block, and how much Monero am I looking at when I mine that block?
  17. Then will i be able to use 2 different cards in 1 machine for mining?
  18. CPU may not matter much in mining, but it does help abit. So does a CPU with more cores mine better than a CPU with less but more powerful cores or is it otherwise?
  19. I will be getting a wireless usb adapter soon for my computer but i am unsure if all the wireless usb adapters would provide support for 5GHz network. Like for example, i am unsure if a dongle which goes up to 150mbps support 5GHz network? But mainly, what are the requirements for the dongle to support 5GHz network?
  20. sorry if i didnt explain it enough. What i meant was how long will it stay relevant within the 1440p range?
  21. How long will the gtx 1070 last in 1440p 60hz? I plan to get the GTX 1070 for 1440p gaming.
  22. Is it possible to use your phone as a VR headset connected to the computer? This is a very random idea but if it is possible it would be quite cool
  23. ok so during english class today, all of us saw this word bicycling. My English teacher does not know how to pronounce it, so does the students. How do you pronounce the word? Is it Bi-si-cling or Bi-sai-cling?
