check for CPU pin or socket damage (rare)

take the system out of the case work on table for the moment,

Connect the bare minimum, gpu, cpu, cooler, psu, 1 stick of memory.

See if you can post that way. If you do, update the bios then and there.

My 5800x3d system has been the most stable, quiet and performant system I've ever built. (in April 2022) Usually I'm cracking the case open every few months to fiddle with "something", not this time.

TrigrH reacted to Eigenvektor in How do I know does my motherboard supports USB-C?
USB-C is just the type of physical connector the case has.

You need to look at how that port is connected to the motherboard, i.e. which type of internal plug the case has. Then have a look at the motherboard's internal USB headers, check if they're compatible. Check the motherboard's detailed specs: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-H610M-E-DDR4/Specification

Look I'm not trying to say this isn't bullshit but for years if you pay for star citizen you get access to the current version of the game.

Yes its not finished, and its a bit of a different story for the kickstarter backers. But I feel I can argue right now you can play a version of the game if you pay. Where is the scam in that?

If you have the budget, you can get one of these.
The Sidekick looks like a re-badged MetroVac but it's also a lot more powerful for the ~same price. I've been using one [Sidekick] for years.

I recommend the following if you're going to extend the time between upgrading the system:

no reason to get a pcie 3.0 ssd, they are older and not as fast.

As for high speed ram, its definitely less value but more "future proof". It's recommended to only use 2 of your 4 slots when pushing for higher speeds.

I would get a 2tb nvme drive as a minimum on a budget like this, you will regret going smaller. Make sure it is PCIE 4.0.
I would explore getting a faster ram kit if you can afford it, new bios updates are about to improve ram combability on ryzen. is 32gb enough for you? consider a 48gb kit.
