  1. No, the 5800x3d needs a good cooler! A 125w TDP cooler will have the CPU running too hot and it will drop clocks. Doesn't matter if its not pulling much power, the vcache makes it run hot. AK620 or 280mm aio or better imo.
  2. Try adding some tape to the white part that makes contact with the switch, that might help.
  3. I can find used corsair H90's on ebay, thats about it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184828601426 https://www.ebay.com/itm/204023456493
  4. GPU needs a bios update if its old. VBIOS Version: 94.04.25.40.41 BIOS Build date: 2020-09-14 00:00:00
  5. You don't need it a single 8 pin is plenty of power for a 7700x
  6. you only need a single 8 pin not both
  7. The specs say AM5 is supported so as long as it uses the backplate from your motherboard, you wont have issues.
  8. Samsung directly will handle this for you, they might ask you to break the drive physically be ready for that.
  9. Yes, RMA the drive. I wouldn't clone, I would backup all important files that cannot be required via other means. SSD's don't have "sectors" HDD scanning tools don't work on SSDs. Defective drive or the firmware maybe. Normal? no. Possible? yes. Yes Update the firmware and periodically check their health in an app like crystal disk info.
  10. Add thermal paste (not liquid metal) and try again. If it doesn't work you killed it.
  11. Lets hope you don't make a mistake, also plenty of waste, especially if you use a syringe.
  12. You didn't wait long enough. You didn't disassemble it to remove all water. You can try to take it apart but the damage might already be done.
  13. Its Molex, its used for connecting old shit or cheap shit
  14. The amount of heat that radiates out of the tubing is irrelevant, longer tubing will only increase the heat released which would lower temps not increase it??? Either way Case fans deal with that? or am I missing something here?
  15. Why would the length of the tubing be a factor? its not like the cooled water is heating up on its journey back to the block? The time water is spent absorbing heat from the CPU would be determined by the strength of the pump no?
  16. Better Blocks, significantly bigger and better pumps, higher water % in the coolant, larger tubing and inlet/outlets, typically larger radiators and a radiator/loop per device.
  17. Let me highlight your issue: See the times 2? you're adding two kits together and expecting everything to work. If I asked you to run at your fastest speed you could do it. But if I asked you to run at the same speed carrying twice the load I think we would have a problem. This is essentially what you're asking your CPU's memory controller to do. So here are your options: 1. Load XMP before you leave the bios, increase DRAM voltage further to attempt to get things stable. (1.4v for example) If this still isn't stable: Load XMP before you leave the bios, increase DRAM voltage further to attempt to get things stable. (1.4v for example) AND set the speed to 3800. If this still isn't stable: Lower speed further. 2. Buy a 32gb 4000+ kit of ram that is on the motherboards QVL instead, if this doesn't work its the motherboard manufacturers problem.
  18. If you're primarily gaming, you have a good cooler and you motherboard isn't trash: Do a bios update and drop in a 5800x3d.
  19. If a board takes minutes to boot cos the bios is shit, id like to know in advance. But I agree there could be a better location for it. Most users myself included would turn the PC off before that memory training would finish.
  20. Asrock tell me you're the cheapest motherboard brand without telling me you're the cheapest motherboard brand: *saves 0.03c by using a paper sticker instead of a plastic one*
  21. Disconnect your ethernet / turn off wifi USB Tether your phone for internet 4g / 5g Test on mobile data This will help you isolate your home connection from the issue.
