So, cable combs have been around for a little while now and while they may seem expensive for what they are, I'd say they're definitely worth it.

I decided to buy a few off Ebay and this is the result.

    Hello,

I recently decided it was time to change my 2500k for something better.

I decided to go with an I7 5820k and though it's better it runs a lot hotter. I've oc'd to 4.5Ghz and I'm seeing temps touch 80 under full load which isn't good at all.

Now for cooling at the moment I have a Corsair H105 which isn't enough.

I have a budget of around £300 to get some sort of custom loop going on, is that enough? If so, can you fix a list of things that I'll need from a UK site.
Case is a Corsair 900D so space isn't really an issue.

I've built a fair few pcs but this will be my first time going near water cooling, any help would be appreciated.. Thanks!

    Worst one for me.

Ordered my first decent pc a few years ago to the cost of a few hundred pounds, it arrived a few days later.

A couple of days after I get a call from the company that I purchased it from saying "Sorry but FedEx seems to have lost your computer, we're preparing another one now to ship today"
I replied with "Wait... what........ that's wrong because it's here in front of me."

You can guess how that conversation concluded.

This is what happened after I put down the phone, I took a deep breath and shouted the following "F*CK!!"

If I had of been quiet I would have had two.

Something I didn't mention, although performance is key in a computer, I think they also have to look awesome.
I recently painted my 290's to match the rest of the build.
    Results.

What you have with the bigger 140mm intake fan, is positive preassure. That means that more air is getting pumped in than exhausted. This is good. PC cases are in no way insulated systems.

Your intake should be enough. Try it out. Monitor your GPU and CPU temps after a nice long gaming session. If they are within your comfort zone, perfect. They probably will be. Your system will not overheat just because you will put in a more powerfull card. The 290x is not a power plant. It will not overheat your system.

    Hiya folks.

I'm Rob, your average Englishman and hardware nut.

I pretty much love anything to do with computers, I have a fair bit of knowledge of hardware and what not, I'll try and be helpful around the forums by answering questions relating to parts/builds and what not.

I also enjoy gaming a fair bit, used to play my 360 for more than a few hours resulting in it getting very hot. Now I know the slims don't overheat as much as the old model but I just had to change that heatsink and add a temp sensor. Here's how it looked.

Unfortunately I'm out a fair bit so I don't play games as much, here's a shot of my setup. Sorry for the awful picture quality.

Anyway enough babbing, thanks for reading!
