  1. So no matter how much I raise gpu clock, cpu clocks will stay there I assume.
  2. 16gb 3200MHz latest drivers and bios installed I changed my intel setup last summer and got the amd setup. Unluckily the ryzen had a faulty core and rma-ed. Now I have the new one. No BSOD but it runs hotter than the previous one. While installing AC it reached 90C but in game it stays at 70C but as I mentioned not keeping 4200MHz. Maybe gpu is bottlenecking ryzen... 86-88 in cinebench 90 aida 65-75 AC in RM XMP on
  3. I have a ryzen 3600 with tomahawk b450 and a asus r9 290 DirectCU. While running ac odyssey benchmark @1080p I get about 3100-3350MHz. I oc a bit 290 @1075mhz mem 1280mhz(cause it gets hot) power +15% and +13mV. The only benefit was that I got less fps drops. I wanted to ask if cpu clocks are ok or should I get more because I remember with my previous setup(4690k and sabertooth z97) the cpu got 90-100% utilization and I had read that ac is very cpu intensive. So shouldn't it have more on ryzen too?
  4. I use asus n17u for wireless router. I noticed that my gf's laptop wireless network adapter speed connects at 72mbps but it supports b/g/n/ac protocol. After googling I changed router's channel bandwidth to 40mhz on asus and laptop's network adapter connected with 150mbps but I read that 40mhz bandwidth can be interfered by other signals so I'm not sure if this change was good idea. Then I tested wireless speed on my p8 lite which is b/g/n and it reached about 30-32mbps downspeed. I asked my gf to do the same test with her iphone x and it reached only 18mbps. She tested several times. Then I changed from auto to enforced N and mixed 20/40mhz on router side. I got on p8 lite about 40-45mbps but on iphone she got the same speed 18mbps. The wireless log on asus showed 52mpbs rate for my p8 lite and 144mbps for iphone and tv(which also supports n and ac. I didn't checked on laptop though because it was late. Why iphone has lower speed than p8 lite and why laptops wifi adapter need 40mhz to get 15mbps speed?
  5. It turned out that cpu is faulty
  6. Windows is installed on ssd. I'm trying to install linux on a HDD. Sorry I didn't mention that before.
  7. Time changes when i restart from live linux to windows. I will borrow a HDD to test. How will I determine if it is IO errors?
  8. I'm desperate. I installed windows again one week ago but nothing changed. Memtest (dimms one by one) with no errors. It gave bsod even in safe mode. When i try to install linux mint, installer crashes all the time but maybe this is irrelevant. Ryzen 3600 MSI Tomahawk B450 latest bios Corsair 16gb 3200MHz Sandra bench passed Aida shows max 77 Realbench pass Cinnebench pass BSODs mostly on idling or semi-idling This is happening for about 2 weeks Minidumps Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1bxkkfrv27167mm/Minidump.rar?dl=0
  9. You can create a shared folder on one of your machines to access from the other one. Then you have to create a ddns account with port forward rule to access it outside of your house. The pc with the folder must be powered on to access it when you are away.
  10. Did you install ESXi on bare metal or in a vm on vmware as I did?
  11. I m just wondering if lowering it has any impact on performance
  12. Something lower like windows balanced which is set at 5%
  13. Why ryzen balanced has minimum processor state at 99%???
  14. I understand what you say but I would like to know what these options do. I have already set global c-state control from auto to enabled with no impact. But what about the other options?
  15. I was having a look on "1usmus power plan" and to the prerequisites in bios, under cpu features. I would like to ask about these features(what they do): Global C-state Control Power Supply Idle Control CPPC CPPC Preferred Cores AMD Cool'n'Quiet PPC Adjustment I have not overclocked and I use the ryzen balanced power plan but I like the idea that the system saves more power. Have these any downsides?
  16. I'm getting blue screens irql not less or equal ryzen 3600 msi tomahawk b450 What else info is needed to provide to resolve the problem?
  17. I confirm that ryzen 3600 cannot run nested virtualization. I tried on a windows server 2016 and esxi also
  18. Can ryzen run hyper-v nested virtualization? I read that it was not possible with the previous gens of ryzen...
  19. It ok now. I reinstalled the audio driver and it appeared
  20. As title says. I upgrade from 1809 to 1903 and noticed that audio control app launched but didn't do anything(empty window) so I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall. But I get an error. I cannot download it. I can download everything else from windows store. I already have reset windows store with no luck.
  21. No the timings were as they should 16-18-18-36. I also had enabled xmp(the old bios gave me the choice of profile 1 and 2, now it has only enable disable).
