  1. Ok I'll see what happens I'll leave everything as defualt if it works , thanks
  2. I will be doing a new build with a Samsung 970 Evo 500 gb nvme m.2. my question is do I need to change any settings in bios prior to my install of windows 10. Ive been reading all of the issues I can run into if I don't change certain settings with csm and changing my boot to UEFI. I just don't want to break anything ? MOBO is ASUS TUF Z370-PLUS
  3. router died so its time to hit amazon. any benefit to a "gaming" router and or do i do a modem/router combo? im a noob and have no idea edit : everything i use has a wired connection.
  4. i just checked the corsair website and its not listed as compatible with the 1151 chip set of the 8700k
  5. im currently about to buy the i7 8700k. i have in my pc a corsair h100 i bought with my 3770k about 6 years ago. will this cooler fit? or do i need a new cooler.
  6. ok ill keep looking but im leaning towards intel
  7. 144hz at 1080p looking to achieve 100-140 fps i dont need to play on max settings ether. currently around 80-100 fps in any modern AAA title. at lowest settings. bf5 and cod bo4 edit * bought the monitor while i had a amd 7950 card. and fps did not go down. but the card was dying. i overpaid hard for the 580 card due to mining so i do not want to part with the card any time soon
  8. ok ill look into those mobo. thanks so much
  9. im no fan boy but i do need a new cpu/mobo i recently upgraded to a 144hz monitor and my i7 3770k ( OC to 4.5ghz ) paired with amd rx 580 card is struggling to get fps in current games up to the frames i need. I was budgeting around 600 $ for cpu/mobo/ram/ssd. my question is, do i go with an intel i5 8600k or ryzen 5 2600x.. 75% of my time on my pc is gaming. Im looking to "future proof" my cpu for at least another 5 years, i can see myself upgrading my gpu sooner than that. any help is appreciated since im on the fence and dont know enough about current cpu's to just buy one or the other. my current pc - i7 3770k -750w PSU -corsair h100 cpu cooler -16gb ddr3 -250g ssd -1tb western digital hd -asus rampage mobo -amd rx 580 8gb
  10. 2600 it is. any other recommendations? im looking into m.2 aswell m.2 paired with ssd? or is an ssd just fine for gaming/streaming
  11. im looking for the best price to performance on a new CPU + mobo. not amd or intel bias. i will be using an rx 580 8gb card.
  12. i shall thanks.. i checked. loaded blackout checked cpu usage... 80-100%
  13. currently running on my i7 3770k OC to 4.5ghz paired with rx580 8gb. (overpaid during mining crisis ) my issue is new games *bo4* *bf5* run only around 80-100 fps on lowest settings and using a 144hz monitor i would really appriciate getting close to that 144 fps to make it as smooth as possible. games installed on olderish 2tb wd black drive. 16gb ram. is crossfire a viable option? i only hear negative things about it , games not compatible or glitching. anyone have an ideas let me know! thanks!
  14. I'll try and make this as fast as possible my PC needs a tune up. I have an i7 3770k hooked into an asus maximus mobo from 2013ish... 8 gigs of ddr3... running windows 10 on a 120g SSD with a 500gb storage drive. I currently have an AMD 580 8GB in the mail arriving tomorrow. my plan was to do a factory reset on all HD's and take my pc apart to clean out dust and such.. my monitor is kinda shit and i would like to upgrade to something with freesync as well. Here are my questions.. - is removing the heatsink and applying new thermal paste a recommendation. *not touched since installed in 2013* - if i buy a new monitor is 1440p an option for my GPU *i play games like csgo, pubg, and some RTS style games* -should i defrag my HD and do a full fresh install of windows 10 any tips or feedback is very much appriciated since gpu's are stupid inflated currently id like to feel i am getting the most bang for my buck on this and do it correctly.
  15. sadly your correct and im currently leaning heavily on amd but the 580 is also 400 dollars at the moment
