Your post is contradictory. You say that the new computer you get will not be used for gaming, then ask if you should build a gaming PC. Obviously not if the new computer is not primarily for gaming. If your laptop plays CS:GO to your liking then you answered your own question. Just buy a mac and build a gaming PC down the line if you really want one. If you have the money for it regardless it shouldn't be a big deal.

Nope  You have 20 lanes to that's 2 8x for the GPUs and a 4x for the M.2 drive.  If you went with 3 cards you'll be running 4x on the GPUs, which should still have plenty enough bandwidth.

They are running at 1333. DDR stands for Double Data Rate and basically your RAM runs at half the advertised speed, but delivers two pieces if information per cycle, making for an effective speed of 1333MHz.

Higher RAM speed can have performance benefits in gaming.

Can confirm, my CPU runs at about 55C in the BIOS, but 32C at idle.

Getting a 1440p monitor will do the opposite of what you want.
 
Also, some monitors overclock better than others, and some can barely do it or even not at all. It depends on your specific model. Honestly I wouldn't mess with it unless it's a model that is known to have effective and safe OC results. Definitely don't try it if you are planning on getting a 144Hz soon anyway.

I'd jump on it after you confirm that it works, cools effectively, and can OC without frying.
