If xiaomi wants to look up at my taint I guess that's on them

Yoinkerman got a reaction from DeerDK in Just a shower thought… shaker cups?
Usually they also want to fill a spot in the market as well, I feel like the shaker bottle problem is already solved, what could LTT bring to shaker bottles that you can't get with a LTT sticker?

What really makes me chuckle is YouTubers complaining about click through metrics on notifications.

Yoinkerman got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Screwdriver enhancement (better torque if wrench slot)
In my experience the screwdriver just explodes if you try to use an actual wrench on it, second best outcome is the screw rounds immediately from camming out.
impact all the way

I'm sure it's fine unless you're used to 115 every single day all year

Yoinkerman got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Thought's on the latest dbrand controversy (Project Killswitch)?
People are mad that they have the option of spending $60 or $75 instead and getting to pick and choose what pieces they want instead of only being able to buy the whole pack for $99?
I don't get it.
Dbrand is already expensive.
The steam deck is a niche premium product.
Were people expecting the $39.99 kit for a game boy that has a shitty light, bad grip, ridiculous earphones, pistol grips and other various garbage that was better off never being manufactured?
Did dbrand say they were aiming for $60 or something and now it's 2x?

Yoinkerman got a reaction from CommanderAlex in What brand socks does Linus wear?
I can't believe you people pay money for socks, I just use discarded shopping bags. Imagine paying money for nice things what a joke

I'm so down for some non black shirts, and funner designs too. Give me a Sara dinosaur shirt or something

Yoinkerman got a reaction from LAwLz in I'm kinda done with LTT, because credibility has been lost
It's a little off putting seeing the gap widen between Linus and his employees while he's pumping the living wage rhetoric

Yoinkerman got a reaction from Cavalry Canuck in LTT Screwdriver
I wish I could justify an overnight trip and beat the piss out of it at the pop up.
Screwdriver? More like hammer, prybar, and chisel

Yoinkerman got a reaction from dogwitch in Why doesn't LTT have a proper server room?
As someone who looks after a lot of communication rooms, they much much more often than not are a closet under the stairs

Yoinkerman got a reaction from volatus146 in LTT Screwdriver
As a communications professional and hobbyist engine builder, I don't mind replacing a mediocre $30 screwdriver or using a cut off wheel on a cheap wrench.
A $100CAN++ screwdriver I expect better.
You guys aren't pitching this as a novelty item like the pillows, you're literally pitching it to guys like me who both have the means to buy and the appreciation for a tool that just works nicely and doesn't piss you off.
I would figure about a 2-3 year warranty is a good spot. You're not a huge company selling $15 screwdrivers for $70. (That's how outfits like snap on work everyone, they sell you a marginally better product at a huge markup and wow people with "lifetime warranties")

Yoinkerman got a reaction from Bob Wilson in Zipper slider replacement?
@nicklmg@LinusTech
Ah the whole slide, I think you just need the zipper size then to source a new one
Or try your luck with a multiple size kit I guess but that's not ideal
Edit:. The LTT stuff uses YKK zippers so they'll definitely be standard sizes but what each size means I couldn't tell you
Double edit: I looked at my stealth hoodie it's a YKK #5VS. @Bob Wilson

Yoinkerman got a reaction from volatus146 in Vessi shoe owners?
I have the everyday classic they're a bit flat with a wide bottom. They've kinda turned into my garage and lawn shoes. They keep stains and don't clean up that well for garage work so get black if you need to. I got teal.
They're a little (little) long in the toe but your normal size should do fine unless you wear weird shoes.
They're not running shoes in any way but if you're young it's probably fine. They aren't that breathable but aren't bad either. If your foot sweats a lot maybe don't get them
I would buy another pair on a deal without any issue but probably a different style. I'm not big in the wider bottom as my cars don't play nice with the clutch and brake but they're great if you have a wider foot.
I'd give them like a 6.5 or 7 overall with like a 9.5 in water resistance

Yoinkerman got a reaction from Origami Cactus in Selling a house in Crypto
Here in BC at least, the paperwork has to be notarized and they file it with the respective authorities.
If you want the contract to state you're selling a house for 3.5 btc there's probably not anything wrong with that, crypto is already considered an asset

Sell your house for crypto if you want dude but you still have to do the paperwork lol that's how property works
