Use the promo codes to get these prices. They're regularly priced at $170 and $150.

This will be gone very soon so jump on it if you like what you see.

So basically they’re selling a sports car with a free poster for 206ETH.  No idea what that comes out to.  Tends to change minute by minute though.  I got a nasty suspicion the price is real high.  Afaik NFTs are worth near zero atm.  Looks like a marker rendering which is one of the quickest media there is. Even then that number might be low though. It would be about right if it was 1990.

Q300L is your best cheap bet; Your most expensive option would be something like the Sliger Cerberus (but that would require a loss of the ATX psu or the 140mm tall cooler)

The SM580 is borderline SFF for ITX Enclosures, but sure. I can tell you for certain though that that case cannot be transported further than a local car ride easily without its own special enclosure (in leu of something that most people have like a backpack) plus carrying around a monitor and keyboard and mouse.
Correct. All you need Is a Standard Power cable.
And a Power Cable for your Monitor.
And a Display cable between GPU and Monitor.
And ports for your wired or wireless mouse/keyboard. (So potentially two more wires, considering we're doing "gaming things but hey, maybe at least your mouse is wireless)

SFF computers are heavier than gaming laptops, so I'm not sure why you keep bringing that up? Laptops are also easier to transport than four+ different components plus detachable cables.

Not every SFF computer is both quieter AND better cooling than a laptop with similar performance. You usually get cooler parts or better acoustics, rarely both at the sacrifice of performance. And if you do get all three, howw small is it really? As small as the SM580? That's a 16L volume case; thats about 5-10x the volume of a gaming laptop. SMALL cases like the Velka 5 V2.0 are actually really small at only 5L of volume, but at that point you're limited on the amount of hardware you can put into it before it gets too hot, too loud or both, rendering it about laptop class performance. So you get laptop sized class performance and heat and noise, but then ALSO have to carry around a monitor of untold sized (at least 22" to not be "tiny") and peripherals.

I've built a really tiny PC before, and a not so-tiny powerful-portable PC as well. You know what these things aren't when I need to transport them? Convenient. Especially when they're already set up at a desk and I need to tear them down, reset them up at new destination, then do it again when I go home. I did build them because I love building challenging PC's and having the occasional portability is nice, but when I bring up the idea of SFF PC's to friends, they go with gaming laptops. And I dont blame them. Why? Because it's far simpler and just works.

Is that a product of consumer convenience willing to pay more for the same thing? Yes, as evident by pre built PC's. Or even food delivery services for people who live 5 minute away from said establishment. People will pay for convenience, even if it costs more or they get a little bit less out of it.

Whoever Fractal is targeting to come with this case, there are clear cost cuts to get this to $90. At this price range, given the feature set Most people will likely opt for the 4000D when it gets below $100 USD again, or down to the Coolermaster NR600 (For those looking for that H510 boxy minimalistic look) There's no substitute for anyone looking for a cheap good build quality for price with two ODD bays, but for anyone else there's probably other things to consider, assuming you can get previously cheaper cases like the Lancool 215, P400A or 4000D for their launch prices, Or if the Pop series ends up above $100 after launch.

I've gone back to Windows 10 for folding, despite the PPD decrease, just for the higher reliability of RDP on Windows. I was able to connect to Ubuntu and Mint boxes before using RDP, but sometimes after a reboot it would fail, and nothing could fix it aside from me dragging a monitor downstairs and reinstalling the OS. In the end, I prefer the convenience and reliability to the higher PPD.

On another note, I finally hit 2.5B! Unfortunately it's not all for the LTT team, so it'll still be a while before the next badge.

Okay, I started to fold on my i5-3570 3.4GHz since I wasn't using it for the most of the day, and I fold at.. uhh.. FASTEST COMPUTER!!! about 30k PPD. I also added my old laptop to fold, which brings me just about 5k PPD more. I started folding about a month ago, and now I have about 800k points. At this rate, it's gonna take me at least 6 months to get to 5 Million.. Gonna try and keep this thing running for as long as possible, hope to get Contributor *cough* soon.

That's a Mini ITX board only case. OP has an ATX board.

@Mister_duckles Any of your case selections would be "okay" but the best option of the three is Definitely the 4000D for the better airflow. Even if your parts are considered "mid range" now and the 4000X and H700 can both cool those adequately, the 4000D would allow you to cool higher end parts should you decide to upgrade anything in the future.

And trust me. Unless you really like building and rebuilding PC's a lot, cases are the last thing you want to swap out in a PC build.

With a case like this, you will run into issues with any sort of Air tower you try to put in it, so a water cooler would be recommended. Also, try to place your card as far away from the glass as possible in the three PCI-E mounts along the back, as glass doesn't allow any air to flow through it 😉

Your problem sounds more like an issue with your GPU and/or motherboard not linking up together properly. This is not normally a case I'd recommend (usually I'd suggest the Neo V2 version which has the non vertically mounted GPU) but hey. It works.

An sG13B or elite 130 as mentioned previously would be the best of everything; as gravity would hold your card in and the vented side panels would allow air to flow, but whether or not the cases could house your card or have enough room for *everything else* is another story.
