I had a dream I bought the Exact Great Wall Unit from the Wal-Mart PC (in some ways I think I did with the Gray Label CX550M) Nothing exciting happened, I was just holding it and examining the outside of the box. My dreams arent intricate enough to see the internals since I really dont know what they look like (I've seen pictures but that doesn't translate to knowledge)

I am not a normal person, what makes you think I'd dream normal dreams?

absolutly nothing. but at least dream of a good psu. a "dream" psu you could say

@LukeSavenije Actually the Great Wall PSU has allot of the same components the high-end power supplies do. It's actually not as bad as most people think. I'd still rather hit up seasonic though.

@Ashiella if it's not at least as good as my gray label cx550m, I still don't recommend them. Are there reviews/tests out already then?

    Ashiella

@LukeSavenije Yeah, they've been out for a while.

@Ashiella well, I should start to read those then, or ask someone who actually understands it more than me about it. I'm not that much of a psu guy, just a allrounder

It's pretty simple, really only looked at ripple, efficiency, and OCP.

Efficiency = makes 80+ White, but misses 80+ Bronze

    20% load = 83.1%
    50% load = 84.9%
    100% load = 80.3%

Ripple = 40-60mv ripple on 12V, 30-40mv ripple on 5v. Not the best, but probably not going to kill your components either.
OCP = tripped and shut down at around 52-55A on 12V. Didn't explode.

@Spotty so it's "okay but not great"?

    Pretty much @LukeSavenije

    Conclusion: Not So Bad

The power supply is actually “fine.”

    Fine

    1. suitable for the average user who doesnt know about the subject at hand

    Examples:

    Quote

The H500 is a worthy successor to all those things, including the middle-of-the-road cooling performance: it’s fine, acceptable but not exceptional

    Quote

the H700i simply has a big hole, large enough to allow air to flow freely into the interior of the case rather than the PSU (which can cool itself just fine)

They can also provide extra leverage for pressing the glass down on bulky cables, although “glass” and “leverage” aren’t necessarily concepts that should be put together.

That’s fine, though, because there’s plenty of space for managing cables in the G21

He uses the terminology more-so in videos rather than the written reviews, so these "fine"'s are sorta cherry picked in a way simply based on them being written down
