  1. yeah it changes colors too, sadly my LG 34GK950F is faulty for the 4th time in a row (4th monitor and third replacement) but yeah it even happens on my older LG 29WK600-W
  2. It started flickering on 143hz later on also which is why i didnt note it as actually working in the end, but yeah, i might end up waiting a bit till i get another new monitor tbh seeing all the issues going on lately with them
  3. I might take a look at their 34 inch 144hz offering then, only thing im worried about is that its a VA panel and it sadly does not come with NANO IPS or QUANTUM DOT panels that make it (for me atleast) easier to differentiate colors due to color blindness, but i guess that can be fixed by the saturation option in NVIDIA control panel if im correct if all else fails ill just wait and use my oldie LG 29wk600-W HDR till I find a nice one or ill maybe save up for a LG 38GL950G r something I really wanted this monitor and i have really big troubles making decisions so this is a really tough decision for me to make and will take time (this monitor took me over half a year to choose for)
  4. So, what should I do, should I return it and get the money back or get a fifth monitor from the same model cuz the other ones were all faulty/defective
  5. @StatikI have had this too with multiple monitors and this does not show itself when doing anything else, right? and this only happens in escape from tarkov too? (look pic below) if you look on the pic on the right side you see a small little black spot, this is (what i presume) you are talking about, and is actually a game bug AFAIK (sorry if its hard to see, it should be next to the glass frames on the right side)
  6. so my monitor (lg 34gk950f) is showing this issue, its a new monitor, the 4th one of the same model even, (the 2nd one had the same issue and I rma'd that one and replaced it with this one, 1st one was DOA and 3rd one had a scratch) ive had contact with LG but theyre saying it might be my graphics card/system but what setting might it be that is causing this (they said it was a setting that might be causing this) this flickering only occurs at 144hz btw the flickering does not occur on 120 hz and for a while didnt do so on 143 hz either (custom res) i have tested: - turning freessync/ Gsync off - 3440x1440 (143hz) - 3440x1440(120hz) <--- this one works but obviously i'd want it to work at 144 as it was intended to run at this - swapped cable (both diff port on gpu and diff DP 1.4 cable) - tried diff graphics card (currently have a rtx 2070 and tried a 1050 ti but this didnt work either it still flickered) - reinstallation of windows reinstallation of drivers (ddu) - tried diff power plug and directly from the wall
  7. Oh, thanks for noting that, I believe the 9th gen is coffee lake refresh, right? since I meant those. Sorry
  8. True but i'm just not sure which one would be better to wait for.
  9. Exactly. There is not really any reason to get a 20 series (at least not really as far as we know rn) -André
  10. I personally think that there is no reason to switch to the RTX 20 series if your playing at 1080p and 1440p. Atleast certainly not for the money. A 1080 ti still performs REALLY REALLY well in all games at 1440p. I would go for the 1080 ti simply because the performance jump is minimal (unless your looking at DLSS), or wait for the performance benchmarks.
  11. Goodmorning guys, I have been having an issue. Something that makes me unable to sleep at night. I want to build a new gaming computer. I need to choose if I'm either going to go for the intel 9th gen (preferably the octa-core with HT) or the AMD zen 2 series (the Ryzen 3000 series, preferably the top CPU) I also have not made my mind up to either go for liquid cooling (AIO) or Air cooling (Bequiet dark Rock pro 4 preferably) So why I'm upgrading/replacing: Its becoming slow in games and I plan to buy a 3440x1440 HDR monitor (my LG 34uc88 has died and since then send back and money was refunded) To make it short i just want more performance. Specs of my current PC: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 7 CPU: I7 6700k Cooled by scythe mugen 4 (arctic silver 5 thermal paste) also OC to 4.4 Ghz ,CPU does not reach above 60 degrees Ram: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHZ GPU: Gigabyte Gtx 1070 Xtreme Gaming PSU: Corsair RM750 Case: Corsair AIR 740 Storage: SSD: Samsung 850 evo 500gb HDD: 1x WD black 1tb and 1x WD Blue 1tb I am a bit of a corsair fan as you might see. (the mouse has since then been replaced by the corsair glaive RGB if your curious :D) I just like corsair since they have good quality products and I've never had any issues with them. Some pictures of my PC from some time ago: Warning this does incluse a kitty cat. (also the cable management was not chaotic on the last picture, something I have fixed since then.) My budget is around 3000 euros (3500 if I save up to the max) for a new or partially new computer. As a new case I'd prefer a airflow oriented one, also from time to time I go to a lanparty (like once or twice a year) Please help me guys... Kind regards, André
  12. I miss the big maps... But I mean BF V is still a fun game. some people are complaining but keep in mind that this is where a beta is for. The extended amount of time that dice has now can easily be used to tune the game to how we like it. I just hope Dice can improve the game massively. I'm still hyped like for every battlefield (Battlefield 1 turned out to be a flop, in my opinion, gunplay was just garbo) I played BF V alpha's and beta and I can say that they are already going for whatever the community wants. Quite a lot of things have changed. We will see on the 13th of November what they changed.... Can't wait! (who knows they might do a second open beta?) -André
  13. CPU caps can be ignored for corsair RAM, but corsair XMP works on most Z170 motherboards (if you get one) -Andre
  14. Some motherboards dont support for example 64 gigs of ram, and also, if you have for example 4Ghz speed ram, and your cpu only allows 2400mhz, then it will automaticly put it on 2400mhz, but most of the times the ram stick have XMP (wich is a preset for the ram to run at its native speed) as far as i know, most of corsairs ram sticks have this feature. (I dont really know if it has to be supported by the cpu itself, otherwise, you can overclock the ram in the bios to their native speeds)
  15. Only thing i can say is the speed, the WD Black runs a fair ammount faster then the WD blue or Seagate Barracuda, but like i said, choose the one you want and that you can afford, also an important thing for some people: WD black is a bit louder. -Andre
