Anybody else still doesn't gets this game? The premise doesn't seems all that compelling to me, just something a GTA V modder would have come up with for example. Maybe I'm waaay off but it seems like a popular push-back reaction to modern FPS titles and their completely stunted innovation for now years: people are so desperate to play a decent shooter than they'll take even a mediocre one with a somewhat clever mechanic just as long as it's new and not just another Re-skin of Battlefield or CoD.

What's the difference between this game and other survivor games already released?

I'd say anything to push the technology/industry forward, I'm all for it.. Haters gonna hate I guess since their favourite phone company don't have it and they are just jealous ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It seems like a lot of LTT fans are very salty over someone daring to criticize Linus. Instead of responding to the actual points and criticism raised by the video they instead just thumb down the video, leave mean comments and then go circlejerk on this forum.
 
Linus, you often say your audience is full of adults. Well, judging by this they aren't. Because they are acting like 12 year girls who just got told Justin Bieber is a bad singer.

On another note, if Linus' video was sarcasm then clearly it was poorly done. I can sense sarcasm in some of the things he says, but I can also sense seriousness in some of the things he says. Considering how several people in this thread, Corridor and a ton of people in the comments of both videos did not take it as sarcasm but rather tries to justifies the things Linus said as if they were genuine, you simply have to conclude that if Linus was just being sarcastic, that it failed. Not to mention that sarcasm is a pretty shitty form of comedy to begin with... Especially when it's really low effort and goes on for 13 minutes.
 
If you're going to post videos that are purely sarcastic, as well as videos that are completely serious, and your viewers can't differentiate between the two, then you need to reconsider.
 
By the way, to everyone who says Linus fans will know when he is serious and not serious, and that you can judge that from things like which video series the video belongs to, please remember that the most common justification for Linus' shitty thumbnails and misleading titles is that it attracts new viewers. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You either make your content easily accessible to new viewers and make it easy to understand for them what the video is, or you cater to your existing audience.
You can't in one thread say "old Linus fans won't be mislead because they have prior experience with Linus' work" and then in another say "Linus NEEDS to attract more viewers even if it means alienating his loyal viewers".

Seeing things like this always makes me wonder, would they still be saying this if they were the ones who were offered the exclusive coverage? Would their "integrity" decline the offer? I highly doubt it. It just seems like petty jealousy, especially because what was published gave no real information about the products outside of what we already knew from leaks. There will still be traffic to tech outlets for real reviews. A product demo is nothing close to a real review.
 
I see it as this; AMD knew Linus was preparing an event, they saw a potential PR benefit from it, and it was a mutual benefit for them both. AMD got free coverage, Linus got to treat his fans that actually traveled to an event, to a special reveal.
 
If anyone should be mad from this deal, it should be AMD or Alienware. What I saw was a video demonstrating how Threadripper's IMC (or Alienware's custom motherboard) failed to post with those SK Hynix Dominator Platinums, lol.

I know we all like to hate on EA but I'm pretty sure this is basically cosmetic not that different from car skins, paint buckets, gun colors, etc. Standard practice that we all deem acceptable as micro-transactions or bonuses

Depending on what games it ends up with I might consider one, seems like a cost effective HTPC, cost of the actual games notwithstanding of course.

it uses AC power when plugged in. and keeping it plugged in even when the battery full is fine. you don't have to worry about wearing the battery down. remember to use the original provided power adpter. just don't drain the battery to less than 20% or operate the laptop in high ambient temperature.

Anyway, to add to the lack of headphone jack, I honestly couldn't careless about it. I barely use it on my 6S anymore. Bluetooth headphones all the way for me simply for the convenient and barely noticeable sound quality different imo. Surprised that HTC is not jumping on the OLED and 'borderless' display fade this time. Also,does it even have wireless charging?
