  1. yeah that's what i thought too. but it's worth the try. I genuinely fell in love with the SRH1540 sound when I tried it. can't say I've had any experience with any of those you've mentioned tho
  2. The Shure SRH1540 have always been my dream headphone for years now (tried it at a headphone shop) but the price is realistically out of reach for me. I was wondering if there are any headphones with almost the same sound signature as the SRH1540 while priced under $120? Just for reference,my current headphones are Sennheiser PXC 550, Status Audio OB-1 and Shure SE215 LTD if that helps. replaceable cable would be a plus. I absolutely love the OB-1 sound altho it's proper open back headphones. on the PXC 550 I'm using the director mode with Boost set to Rumble and everything else off. And btw, I'm based in UK. Thank you so much for the help in advance.
  3. I have the PXC 550. no additional DAC other than my iPhone 6S and the headphone built-in dac itseldf. they're bluetooth headphones btw. if you plan to use just the cable, get the PXC 480 instead.
  4. Since you've already known about Garmin, maybe you want to check out the brand Suunto too
  5. that's quite an eye opening video btw...not a fan of O+ or android myself but he presented some interesting information pertaining to the company itself.
  6. Man... i wish i can somehow use an external gpu with my late 2013 RMBP. i basically have no real use with these two TB2 port unless I can hook up an external gpu and use it for rendering acceleration.
  7. it uses AC power when plugged in. and keeping it plugged in even when the battery full is fine. you don't have to worry about wearing the battery down. remember to use the original provided power adpter. just don't drain the battery to less than 20% or operate the laptop in high ambient temperature.
  8. I really like that material. especially the blue colour as it reminds me to one of my favourite phone I've ever owned, the Motorola KRZR. Anyway, to add to the lack of headphone jack, I honestly couldn't careless about it. I barely use it on my 6S anymore. Bluetooth headphones all the way for me simply for the convenient and barely noticeable sound quality different imo. Surprised that HTC is not jumping on the OLED and 'borderless' display fade this time. Also, does it even have wireless charging?
  9. You should include that they also boast having the highest DXO rating for a phone camera and that sexy looking design especially that liquid surface which comes in 5 different colours Only 3000mAh battery on a 5.5" device? Why tho? not like the phone is small
  10. Have you seen how small/thin playstation slim is? or even Nintendo Switch? so hows that a console killer in terms of size anyway?
  11. I have the Sennheiser PXC 550 and been using it for over 4 months now and I love it.
  12. Come on just admit that there are some flaws/disadvantages with this Surface laptop and maybe part of the Windows 10 S eco system. No need to be too defensive about it. Not everything Microsoft farts smells nice. Accept the shortcomings, or be critical about it and hope they'll get it right on the next revision. No need to throw personal attacks etc. I'm looking for a healthy discussion about this to make decisions myself on whether or not this laptop could be suitable for a uni student like me even though I already own a MBPR and SP4.
  13. My Core M3 SP4 with 4gb ram disagrees with you but whatever... I actually really like the look of it. Very slick and premium looking. Oh if you haven't touched alcantara yet, you will absolutely love it. But I do agree with the majority here that the pricing is a bit off (RIP people outside US) but hey it's a Surface brand laptop. Microsoft can put that price and people will still buy it because it's a 'premium' product (And I have a SP4 myself). Now it's up to the other manufacturers to try and emulate/copy/get inspired with this Surface laptop and maybe do better one perhaps? Stop producing shitty plastic laptops with shitty hinges and display etc. Try and better this one. To some people, specs don't mean everything if stuffs doesn't work as they should and breaks easily.
  14. I'm still using that same pair till this day as my main headphone btw when I'm at home listening to music or even watching movies. But I've replaced the ear pads with 'Brainwavz Replacement Memory Foam Earpads'. I also have a pair £330 Sennheiser PXC 550 which I use when I'm out/away from the house. Still would choose/recommend the OB-1 anytime for everyday listening. They sound really impressive for the price but might be slightly above your £50 budget if you don't mind stretching a little bit.
  15. and iPhone 5 is from 2012 ffs. some people just trying to hate for the sake of it. to think that it originally came with iOS 6 and still getting update up till today is almost unthinkable in the smartphone world.. smh. Back on topic, I've already long left the W10M train after being a Windows Phone fan since the WP 8.0 days with Lumia 620>Lumia 925>Lumia 950XL. Microsoft really need to put their shit together and show some real intend with the ecosystem ffs before I will even consider going back to W10M again. Gave my Lumia 950XL to my mum btw and I'm rocking iPhone 6S myself atm.
  16. and it's not just the DVR function. Microsoft is also sorta pushing for XB1 users to stream to Beam which is a whole nother' load for the system besides gaming at 4K.
  17. Have you guys been to Singapore before? Let me tell you it's freaking hot over there. Country literally just above the equator line LOL /s jk
  18. The update freed up 5.2gb on my 6S and I updated mine straight from the phone. No iTunes. Some apps open noticeable faster too. Probably the animation, probably the file read idk but welcomed nevertheless.
  19. I got that dock for free from the Lumia gift app or something. I preordered the phone from Amazon btw. That thing is going for around £30 or less now
  20. I have no problem with port on the side. Less chances of me or my can accidentally snapping off whatever thing that's pluugged into it, especially if you have the case on the floor
  21. Read the review on TPU. I actually kinda like the look and layout of the case.
  22. $1200 for a noise cancelling headphone? Madness! Probably best suited for those frequent flyers/traveller where you'll be using it in a safer place like airport and train stations. But it's also weird that it has no internal batteries and needs to be powered to use it. And no way anyone would use it during their daily commute. Even I have genuine concern at times wearing my $400 PXC 550 when walking around in the city.
  23. Why would you want an inferior phone to be paired with your iPhone anyway? /s
  24. edited my post. pressing enter apparently post it instead of going down another line. But to add my 2 cent to this, I don't quite appreciate how Microsoft is doing this, if it's from OS level but if you can just uninstall Onedrive and it's gone, then I don't really mind. I'm a Onedrive user btw..
  25. Cue the Microsoft haters in 3..2..1.. Cue the Microsoft defenders in 3..2..1.. These mud slinging will never ends.
