  1. The fact of the matter is that this rig is probably better than or at least on par with current consoles. And it does it for less too. And it still gives you all the capabilities that PC has. Like MS Word. Let me see you type an essay for school on your console. Let me see your console help you get a college degree. Thought so lol Educated PC gaming master race
  2. My question would have to be how much more power will these things consume? As far as I know the R9-290x is already a bit of a power hog, right? It's not so much my power bill that I'm worried about as it is finding a suitable GPU. If AMD is about budget gaming, you shouldn't HAVE to get a 1,000W PSU in order to have enough wiggle room for your rig. I do like it that 4K is becoming a thing, though. It's making 1440p displays much more affordable now that there's something better for it and that those displays are becoming more affordable too.
  3. Tuesday is like Monday. It just sucks less since you've already elapsed 20% of the workweek. Still sucks though .-.

  4. Okay, I'll admit it - I get really excited to cue up my favorite records.

  5. I'm new here. So I guess everyone is rating the PCs specs in people's signatures? I'll do your gaming rig 9/10. I would love to have a setup like this. Probably would destroy mine in every way possible My rig (since it's not in my siggy) A little note on the RAM - Too long; won't read version: RAM is 2 different kits, not causing any problems or gains except having spare RAM I started with a 4GB kit. Later I upgraded with an 8 GB kit. I don't like having working parts laying around doing nothing. So I did some research to make sure it wouldn't start a fire or break something at least. So I installed the 4 GB kit with the 8 GB kit Then I had, like, 500 tabs open in Chrome and a bunch of text in Notepad to make it use a ton of RAM to pretty much make sure it would still be stable in the event that I find myself using 10+ GB. Which shouldn't happen under normal circumstances. I don't have any noticeable performance gains or drops. Just extra RAM. Really the only thing I think I've done here is make Windows less likely to freak out because I have a game using a ton of RAM. Which used to happen a lot when I had only my 4 GB kit in there.
  6. McDonald's food tastes good but I don't eat there anymore. These videos are all crap. The McDonald's corporation has enough money that it can set all this stuff up to fool the gullible into believing that what they're getting is actual food. McDonald's would never post a profit if they used real ingredients. Or you'd have to pay more than $1 for a double cheeseburger.
  7. Too bad they won't be available on Friday (when I get paid)
  8. Google knows all. I think Bing looks very pretty, but I prefer the simpler look of Google. It's very minimal and that makes it easy to use even on slow internet. So that's what I prefer overall. Plus I think Google is just a better search engine. I also prefer Google's corporate culture way over Microsoft's so I'd rather support Google by using their search engine. Now Yahoo....who uses Yahoo anymore?
  9. Dear Java. Shut up. Oracle does not release a new update every five minutes. Stop asking me to update you every five frickin minutes.

  10. *still prefers older model Corvettes* My granddad had a 62 Vette about 50 years ago. The new ones do look awesome. Don't get me wrong. But the older ones have a certain charm to them that the newer models can't replicate.
  11. This is kinda what my first car looked like if it was in near-immaculate condition These things really are so much fun to drive. I'd love to have another one some day to be totally honest.
  12. It really was. It was more fun than the current car I have and a lot of people say Honda Preludes are a lot of fun to drive. I imagine they are if you have the frickin stick shift model (stupid automatics shouldn't even exist....) Anyway, no pictures. We sold it not too long after I got it. That's when I got my Honda. At least it's got the little thing where you flip it over and it's a sequential shift. But that's no substitute for manual. You're only requesting a gear change. In a true manual, you actually move the parts around, doing the gear change yourself. It's just more immersive to the experience of driving.
  13. 30 year old, 4000 pound vehicle....maybe produced 120 hp.... Yeah there was no doing that
  14. God you should have known this vehicle....when my dad gave it to me to drive, he told me not to use the clutch to shift because the clutch had been failing for the last seven years. When he told me that, I was like "Do you want me to die??" Later on while I had the car, a brake line busted. So I just used the trans to slow it down and grabbed the parking brake when I was going slow enough. It's amazing I didn't get pulled over, the cop thinking I was drunk because it was impossible to drive it in a straight line. It was also 19 different colors of rust. We had to jump a connection with the thermostat because the A/C wasn't kicking on right. So it made the A/C run constantly. If the air stopped blowing, you knew it was frozen over and time to hit the button to turn it off. That car wanted to kill me at every turn. Great way to remind yourself you're alive
