VSTS are virtural instruments/software synths/Mastering tools and effect. If your going that route I would reccomend much more CPU power because Massive and Serum(which are synths) take up a lot of CPU>If yor recording actual physical guitars just get the laptop with the most RAM

Hmm, would a mini-itx be a better idea? It doesn't have to be a laptop, I was just gonna go with one for convenience.

  2. This information hardly helps. I am pretty sure we all went to junior high, or are currently doing so.

I've seen people on this forum that argued with me about hot air rising. Depending on the person, it can help. Why the hostility?

  3. Well how do I mount a different stand diy again and maybe it would work better for me then you depending on the situation thanks @Rusty_Shackleford

Not sure, don't know if you can, idk what happened with mine but it wouldn't screw it, so I super-glued it. Then a family member stepped on the stand and broke it lol.

also, always glad to help :D everyone on this forum was a big help when I put my rig together, so I'm returning the favor.

  4. I have the snowball ice, the mic itself is good but the stand it comes with is a PoS. Only complaint I have with it is it picks up EVERYTHING, my friend can hear what I'm doing outside of my room even with my door shut, so if you have a loud house I wouldn't suggest it. If you have a quiet home, I do suggest it.
