WereCat got a reaction from bezza... in red dead redemption 2 maxing out 3070ti graphics card
I don't see the issue assuming your FPS increased by lowering the settings.

WereCat reacted to Levent in The RTX 4060ti is the worst graphics card of all time, there, I said it!
I agree that current RTX4xxx series line up is shit. I still think RX6500 and RX6400 takes the cake on shittiest card released of this decade (so far)

WereCat got a reaction from Mark Kaine in New AMD A620 Motherboards, DO NOT Support CPU's Over 65 Watt TDP or 88W PPT. Non X Only
It's really like people overreacting because a $15 LGA1700 compatible air cooler can't cool a 13900K. I mean, sure, you can use it for that CPU but it's not really designed to cool anything more than i3. You're buying the bottom of the barrel cheapest stuff and if you want something better in future then spend more $. You literally can do the same thing with a motherboard, either you lose a ton of CPU power due to VRM throttling (lifespan of the board goes down quite fast too in that case) or just stick to cheap low-power CPU.
Also I think that most of the issue here is that people think that above 65W CPU will literally not even boot on those boards because "not compatible" which I don't think is a thing.

WereCat reacted to Mark Kaine in Mouse is slow? (Overwatch)
So i found out due to some "top 500 player" videos you're supposed to set ingame mouse sensitivity to between 3.0 and 6.0... Weird, because when i tried it i thought 40.0 was barely fast enough lol...
Anyway i haven't tried with mouse acceleration off yet, which I'll do now, i just thought that's an interesting tidbit about the sensitivity setting, will let you know how it goes without windows mouse acceleration - i still couldn't do any 180s btw... the mouse is just soooo *slow* lol...
Also fun fact my aim % is exactly the same as with controller (around 30% which is ridiculously bad i think, although not sure, maybe its just average since im winning half of the time lol)
BUT that's also me not being used to WASD movement at all... i think aiming actually does feel smoother with mouse... it also didn't feel jittery this time, probably my sensitivity was actually way too high last time i tried...
Anyway,,just a small update,,will report back how it goes without windows mouse acceleration (cannot imagine it to make a diff, but i might be wrong, no idea)
PS: now my keyboard felt also slow, like there's a bit of delay... which is weird cause its a cheap dell, but its wired, there shouldn't be a delay?
ps: also lotsa people play with 6000dpi (iirc) so maybe that's why 1000 feels slow (it really does lol)
EDIT: actually hard to tell a difference between mouse acceleration on/off... it did feel kinda better with it on tbh, but I'll keep trying with it off for now, because i also can't really tell a difference as said lol
Actually, the faster i "flick" the less likely it is to work lol...
I just figured out i need to move to mouse very slowly then it actually does an (almost precise) 180...
6000dpi here i come i guess xD
(but could really just be practice)

AMD has Enhanced Sync which is equivalent to Fast Sync.

WereCat reacted to lambo603 in Question related 5800X3D temps
Yes, I am sure.
Asrock only added that feauture with the Agesa 1.2.0.8 update and mine board only has 1.2.0.7 still in the latest bios 😕
I think I'd rather not use that software as it seems quite easy to mess up 😂
Think I'll leave it as is, I only do gaming and there it's below 80C still.

WereCat got a reaction from C2dan88 in Question related 5800X3D temps
Yes that is normal. Also, you can severely reduce the temp by setting a CO offset. Some people just say to set it to -30 but from my experience that is not stable on every CPU. On mine I have to settle to -22 to -23 offset. That reduces the temp by around 11C with around 15C reduction at -30 offset (on my CPU) but I'm only barely stable for benchmarking purposes at -30 offset.
CO (Curve Optimizer) offset should be available in BIOS somewhere near PBO settings. It basically moves the voltage/frequency curve so that you get the same clocks on lower voltages. The offset does not go lower than -30 even if you can set it so.

WereCat reacted to filpo in Is 650W PSU enough for RTX 3060 Ti OC and GTX 1050 Ti OC?
depends, whats the cpu? If its a 13900k then probably not. But if its something like a 13600k/13500 or lower then it should be fine

Sure but that doesn't mean ALL current CPUs aren't supported though...
And you can use any anyway, the CPU will boot just fine but be in restricted PPT mode. Also this isn't even something you should do, nor want. Even cheap B series boards in the past have struggled with x900X and x950X so similarly A series isn't creating a new problem. You can cheap out on your board as much as you like but don't assume your top end 16 core CPU isn't being VRM throttled losing tons of performance.
You can do what you want sensibly or you can do it the bad way and you'll get the result deserved, not desired 🤷♂️
B series exists. B650M starts at $129 (at least on newegg) so I really don't see a problem here. A series boards have never been popular, this isn't creating a new problem.

WereCat got a reaction from RONOTHAN## in Why my friend i5 13500 can run memory above 4800Mhz?
You can run DRAM above spec on non-K CPUs in the last few gens. You were not supposed/able to do so with older ones.

WereCat got a reaction from SorryBella in Did I potentially damage my GPU
If the HW was so fragile there would be hardly so many people building their PCs by themselves. It's fine, obviously it's recommended to avoid static discharges but in my experience it has never done any harm to any piece of HW I worked with.
